Story
Meet Rocco! This precious Pomeranian mix is 4 months old and weighs 5.7 pounds. A kind neighbor took Rocco from his owner because he was living in the backyard neglected and covered in fleas! He had to be shaved but his coat is growing out beautifully. He has been flea treated and started on a quality food. Rocco is thrilled to be an indoor dog! He loves to PLAY and would be best matched with another playful dog. His special playmate is Andy. He is a loving boy and enjoys being part of a family. Rocco is a PUPPY and will need to be potty trained. He has been introduced to potty pads and is getting used to being kept on a potty schedule. He does enjoy going into the backyard to do his business. We do expect accidents in a new home. He will need to be leash trained when he is fully vaccinated. He is scheduled to be neutered. He is Microchipped and currently vaccinated. He will require regular professional grooming going forward. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
Oh, how we LOVE Remy! Remy is about 4-5 months old and is the epitome of a big personality in a little package. There truly are no dull moments with him around, and he will keep you on your feet with his sassy back talk and endless goofy antics. He loves to be the center of attention and show off his zoomies. Remy is full of energy and brings the party wherever he goes. He would be the perfect adventure buddy for an active family who wants a more compact canine companion. Remy weighs about 6lbs now, and we estimate he will be around 15-20lbs when fully grown. Remy came to us from a local shelter after he was found as a stray with a fractured leg. We were able to partner with the UC Davis Fracture Program to get him all fixed up, and now he is healed and ready for action! Remy is an absolute blast to hang out with, and he provides endless entertainment with his loud personality and love of fun. He has lots of opinions and isn't afraid to let them be heard, so apartment life wouldn't be the best fit for him. He loves to race around and play tug and has learned the joy of food puzzles. His new family will need to be prepared to keep his busy mind and body occupied with lots of physical and mental stimulation. He is still working on all of his basic manners and needs a family committed to helping him learn and be the best boy he can be. Remy loves other dogs and would be a great wrestling buddy for another small/medium playful dog. He hasn't met cats before, but could do well with dog-savvy cats with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Remy could be a wonderful addition to a family with kids 10 years and older. Remy is still working on his housetraining, but is making great progress. His new family will need to be patient with him and be consistent about taking him outside and rewarding him for pottying outside. Remy has been doing well being left for short periods in his pen and sleeping through the night in his crate. He would do best with a family who can be home with him often and not have to leave him alone for long periods. Remy is such an amazing little puppy, and he deserves a family just as wonderful as him. If you think that might be you, submit an adoption application today!   Remy's adoption fee is $400.   Apply to adopt here!   https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. July 2, 2025, 4:00 pm

Story
This little gem is Lulu. She weighs 8 pounds and was born on 3/15/2021. Lulu's family was moving to Florida and could only take one of their dogs, so Lulu needed a new home. She has been raised with older kids who were very respectful of her size. She likes playing with other dogs as well. She is potty trained already. She lived with a large dog, so she will get along with all sizes. She has a fluffy coat and a fun personality. We are having her spayed on 7/22, and she has been updated with her vaccines and microchipped. $350.00 adoption for this sweet girl. Story
This young dog is Teddy. He appears to be 2 years old or so. He was found living at a golf course, and no one has come forward to find him. He appears to be a Pomeranian mix and only weighs 10 pounds. The person who has been caring for him said he is very affectionate and loves to be on a lap or sleep with them in their bed. He seems to be a fun little pup who has good energy and lots of love to give. He has been given vaccinations, has been microchipped, and will be neutered on 7/24. $350.00 will help us with his costs. Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Hanzo (male, pomeranian mix) and Misha (female, shih tzu mix) are looking to go to a new home together as their current owners are moving into a senior living facility that unfortunately does not allow animals. Both Hanzo and Misa are reported to be very friendly with strangers and will accept pets from anyone. They are very healthy and have routine checkups with their veterinarians. These two are a bonded pair and would love to go to a home together. If you are interested in meeting Hanzo and Misa, please reach out to their current owner at: rwu@ucdavis.edu. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
