This adorable fluff nugget was terrified when he came to the shelter but has started to relax and show his playful nature. He loves to do zoomies and burnouts in the big yard, and loves chasing the other dogs almost as much as he loves chasing balls (though he has not figured out the part about bringing them back). Lucio is food motivated and a gentle-treat taker. While he is still reserved with people and takes some time to warm up, he has started to seek out gentle pets and affection in low-pressure environments. He is seeking a patient adopter with a calm, adult household where he can decompress and continue to blossom into his goofy self. Lucio came into the shelter with his coat very matted and, for his comfort, needed to be shaved down. He will require regular grooming to look and feel his best. Please submit your adoption questionnaire if you are interested in Lucio and meet the qualifications described below. Lucio is a challenging adult dog who probably doesn't have much experience meeting new people. Volunteers have only been able to handle him in the last few days so he will need a very experienced adult home with the time and patience to gain his trust. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $650 Pringles is a 2 year old Pomeranian mix who is ready to show you that the best things in life pop out of a can! Pringles was rescued from the shelter, a little dented but ready to roll his adorable 8 pound body into our arms! We scooped him up and he became the perfect addition to our picnic plans! If you’ve been looking for a fabulous furry friend, come and meet Pringles! Pringles is what we call a “butterfly” dog. When you first meet him he is cocooned and fearful but once he spreads his wings and gets comfortable he becomes a beautiful butterfly! He has learned that he loves belly rubs and toys which have been key to winning him over. He is a velcro dog and tends to hang around his human. He will demand rubs from his human, loves to cuddle and play with his toys just like any other pup. He started having zoomies in the last few days, so you can expect to see more of his playful personality emerge over time! This playful pup has so much to show the world and we can’t wait to see him take on all the adventures you have planned for him. Pringles wakes up around 6:30 am for his morning walk. He then has his breakfast around 7:30 am and then plays for a bit. He hangs out while his foster mom starts her workday, getting plenty of snacks and belly rubs in between meetings. He gets some zoomies out around lunch before heading on a longer walk in the evening. He has dinner around 7 PM and then lounges in the living room for the rest of the evening until he heads to bed at 10 PM. Pringles would do well in a home with a confident dog who can show him the ropes. He prefers women but if you’re willing to work for his love he will love you too! He is about 80% of the way house trained and is working on his leash walking skills. If you give Pringles the love and time he needs to blossom, you will gain a loyal pal for all the adventures ahead! Pringles is only an option for homes with dog owning experience. He was my mom’s bestfriend so it took me a while to come to this decision. Since my son is allergic, Grizzly has been living in our garage/backyard. He was potty trained but I am not sure anymore since he’s been an outdoor dog since my son was born. I just want to give him the life my mom gave him. He loves to sit next to you, he wants company. FOSTER TO ADOPT OPTION AVAILABLE Meet the handsome little Scotty. He is approximately three years old and 12-13 pounds. Scotch is seeking a home in the SF Bay Area with one to two adults to dote on him. He is best suited to be only dog; Scotty would thrive in a home where all of the love and affection is his. Scotty has been learning so much in his foster home. He has picked up on the basic commands..sit, come, touch, and bed. Scotty is great on leash. Scotch trots briskly alongside his foster parents with minimal reaction to other dogs on his neighborhood travels. Check out the video. Look at how he focuses that focus. Scotty is a nice blend of cuddle and independence. He enjoys sofa time and hanging with his foster parents. He sleeps throughout the night and while he will sleep in his dog bed, if you are open to a cuddle buddy, he'd be quick to say yes to sleeping on your bed. Scotty...his ideal home: one to two adults with dog experience (he's looking for a leader), long leash walks, car rides, sunny spots, warm laps and lots of yummy treats and even puzzle games to keep him thinking. Scotty should be the only pet. No children in the home. He won't be a dog park kinda guy and probably not an off-leash kinda guy. He's a barky boy so when company comes just move him to another room with a bully stick. When he settles, he can join the fun. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. To recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption.
