Story
Meet Anna!In the wise words of Agnes from Despicable Me, "It's so fluffy, I'm going to DIE!"Anna is exactly 2 years and 7 months old and weighs exactly 12.3lbs. 90% of that is fluff. She is made of cotton candy, teddy bear stuffing, and clouds. Anna has lived a sheltered life. She is very much not housebroken. She has no idea how to walk on a leash. We've thankfully progressed past the "alligator death roll and then stubborn pancake" stage but now we're in the "I'm going to velcro myself to you and get under your feet constantly" stage. Progress is progress so we'll take it.She's a sweet little cream puff but can be shy at first because everything is new and overwhelming but it doesn't take her long at all to warm up to new people. Once she does warm up, she's a lap snuggler. She's clingier than your ex. She'll go off on her own to investigate for, like, two minutes and then she's right back to having to be touching you at all times. She doesn't know any cues/commands or, at least, doesn't feel like showing off for us. She's intrigued by squeaky toys but doesn't really know what to do with them. Anna does very well with other dogs and it's the only time we've seen her actually act like a dog. She also does well with cats despite probably having no idea what they are. We would prefer kids 12+ just because she's such a nervous girl at first and is still learning about the world and we don't want to overwhelm her with the chaos some kids can bring. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: YesGood with kids: YesCrate trained: MostlyHouse Trained: YesSay hello to Peggy! The sweetest, most adorable pint sized Pomeranian mix you ever did see. In fact, if you squint even a little, she could be mistaken for an exceptionally fluffy throw pillow – which is fitting, because the couch is her favorite place on earth. When she’s not tuned in to the Drew Barrymore Show or emotionally invested in the latest Bachelor theatrics, you might catch her stepping outside to soak up a ray or two like the tiny diva she is.Peggy is sweet, submissive, and wonderfully easygoing. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and even cats, because Peggy believes in spreading love, not drama. Her favorite activities include cuddling in bed, lounging on the couch, sitting very, very close to her people, and being adored. She’s fully house trained, mostly crate trained, and has excellent manners – a true little lady. And although her legs are small, her leash skills are mighty. She doesn’t need much exercise, but she’s happy to trot along beside you for a gentle stroll. If your couch is missing a fluffy, affectionate sidekick – and your heart has room for a tiny best friend with a big personality Peggy might just be your pooch! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org. Story
Meet Bowie!Bowie is your new best friend whether you know it or not...and whether you like it or not.Bowie is a whole entire 8lbs and most of it is the fluff on his tail and the long luscious locks on his ears. He's a papillon mix, about a year old, and definitely still acts like a puppy so make sure you have the time and patience for all things puppy before you jump all over him just because he's the cutest thing you've ever seen.If happiness had a physical form, it would be Bowie. He doesn't stop wiggling. Ever. He has the happiest tippy tappy toe dance in the world, his tail is never not wagging, and all he wants to do is climb all over you and cover your face in kisses and, yes, that does include inside your ears and up your nose if you're not careful. He isn't terrible on a leash but could use some training because he tends to lose focus when he gets excited which is, like, always. He loves other dogs and loves people so when he sees them, it's immediate uncontrollable joy and he forgets all of his leash manners. He's great with strangers and wants to say hello to everyone he sees. Since he's such a happy, outgoing guy, we would be comfortable placing him with kids 5+. He also does just fine with cats and, again, he LOVES other dogs. He is high energy and does have the tendency to be underfoot so keep that in mind.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application.
