You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!       Hi there!  I'm Polis.  I'm a teeny thing at just under 2 pounds of floof, fun, and fearless adventure. Think of me as a tiny lionheart with a tail that never stops wagging and eyes that sparkle like I’ve just discovered a brand-new toy (which I probably have). I may only have three-and-a-half good legs and a wobbly gait, but don’t let that fool you—I run, explore, and chase sticks like I’m auditioning for the Puppy Olympics. I love my toys, playing with my (very gentle) foster siblings, and proudly trotting around with a stick twice my size. My favorite nighttime routine? Cuddling up with my toy right next to my foster’s bed—living the dream.  I’ve got a back issue that means no stairs for me (seriously, gate them off, I will try to conquer them), and while I sometimes fall when I turn too fast, I’m getting stronger every day. No crate for now—I need space to wiggle and grow—but I do love my pen and will hang out there happily (except when it’s treat o’clock—then I’ll politely bark for service, thank you very much). I adore humans and would thrive as your tiny sidekick—whether it’s in your lap, in a sling on your chest, or following you room to room like your most loyal shadow. I'm good with other calm, patient dogs, but I’d also be just as happy soaking up all the love as your one-and-only. If you’re looking for a brave, joyful, snuggly little soul with a big personality in a teeny-tiny body, I might just be your perfect match. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! P lease note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi, I am Gladys! As you can see, I am a beautiful little lady.  I’m 11 years old.  Although I am a senior, I am a very sweet girl.  I weigh 14 pounds but it is 14 pounds of pure love and gorgeousness!!!  I am crate trained, and potty trained!  Isn’t that cool???  I don’t even do any barkage when I’m in the crate.  I think that’s pretty pawsome!  As you can see by my pictures I am absolutely gorgeous and have a beautiful coat.  That means my hoomans have to brush me to keep me red carpet ready.  That's okay though because I really love to be brushed!  It feels so good!  If you don’t believe me you should try to have your hooman wash and brush your hair!  I pawmise you you’ll love it!!!  I know some doggos like to play with toys or chew bones, but that’s not my thing.  I do love to be outside.  So, even though I am a good and proper leash walking lady, if you had a fenced in yard for me to hang out outside and look and smell all the things, that’d be pawesome.  Although I won’t mind another doggo, I don’t need one.  I’m okay if I’m your one and only doggo especially since that means I wouldn’t have to share you with anyone else!  So, what do you say????  Can we meet to see if we luv each other?  Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi there!  I'm Cornelia!  I'm 6 pounds of pure fluff, fabulousness, and fierce snack enthusiasm. I may look like a dainty little Pomeranian, but trust me, I’m a world-class explorer (of living rooms and backyards only, please—I’m not ready for leashes just yet). I’m 4 years old, but who's counting? Age is just a number when you’re this cute. I’m a friendly gal, though I can be a bit shy when meeting new humans. It just takes me a minute (or ten) to warm up—kind of like an old-school toaster, but with a waggy tail. Once I feel safe, I’m all about the snuggles, soft toys, and celebrating mealtimes with the enthusiasm of a toddler at a birthday party. Yes, I do bark a little when it’s chow time. Don’t judge—I get excited! My ideal home? A calm, loving place with a fenced yard (because leashes = nope right now), patient people, and maybe a soft blanket or two for serious cuddle sessions. I’m still working on potty training, but I’ve got crate life down to a science. I get along great with other dogs and kids, and while I may bark at cats, it’s all talk—I wouldn’t hurt a whisker on them. So if you’re looking for a pint-sized princess with a big heart, an adorable bark, and a love for the little things in life (like chew toys and cozy naps), I’m your girl. Let’s make some memories together!  I hope to meet you soon!  Love, Cornelia Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    DOB: 10/01/2015 Requires another dog in home: Yes, needs another confident dog Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes, dog friendly dogs Okay with cats: Unknown Okay with children under 12 years old: Unknown Weight: 13 pounds Requires a fenced yard:  Yes, needs a fence  Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello, my name is Jessie and I am the perfect combination of sweet and gentle. I am a timid and shy girl who is making tremendous progress living in a home with a loving family. I have learned so many things – the most important is to trust my people. My people have been very gentle and going slow with me and I have made a lot of progress. She gives me little massages on my head and back – it is so relaxing for me and my people. I have the softest coat and I think you will agree! I am a shy little girl, so having a confident dog in my forever home is required. Another dog will be helpful to show me the ropes, help me get on a routine and help me feel comfortable in my surroundings. Foster mom tells me with a little time and a lotta love, I will come out of my shell and be a great friend to my people. A lot of commotion worry me a bit, so I spend time in my comfy bed watching the activity in the house. Hopefully you have lots of comfy beds for me! Potty training is going great, my foster mom carries me outside and I am good about doing my business on a routine. While I will go potty on a leash, I don't know how to go for walks yet so will need a fence. Maybe there is another dog in the house to show me how to walk on a leash? Hopefully! Anyway, I am ready for my forever. My forever family, my forever home and my forever best friend that will love me unconditionally, not give up on me! I promise I’m worth it and I will fill that hole that you possibly never even knew was there! ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up.
Luka is in a foster home in Texas. He can be transported, once adopted. Transport charges $230 He is a sweetheart. We are not sure how big he will be when grown, but likely less than 15lb. His favorite things right now are playing and sleeping. He loves other dogs and cats, but most of all people. He would love a family that can give him a lot of attention and not leave him alone a lot. He is working on potty training but has a ways to go, so patience will be a requirement. He has very sharp baby teeth so older, experienced children would be a better match than a baby.If you feel like your family is a good match for little Luka, please submit an application. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Hi! My name is Paradise and I am from Missouri. **Meet Paradise!** Paradise is a beautiful 10-year-old Pomeranian with a heart as big as her fluffy coat. While she’s still learning to trust the world around her, her curiosity about human contact shines through her initial fear. Paradise may not be ready for cuddles just yet, but she’s taking small, brave steps every day. Paradise came into rescue as a very fearful dog, but she’s starting to show glimpses of her sweet personality. She watches humans with cautious interest, and with time, patience, and love, she’s sure to grow more confident. Paradise needs a calm, quiet home where she can continue to learn at her own pace. She does well with other dogs and would benefit from having a gentle, well-adjusted canine friend to help her feel more secure. A resident dog can show her the ropes and help her navigate this big, scary world. Paradise’s perfect home will be one with compassionate adopters who are experienced with shy or fearful dogs. She’ll need a safe environment, a lot of patience, and someone who will celebrate every small victory with her. Are you ready to give Paradise the forever home she deserves? Watching her bloom will be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. From the Vet: Paradise is SO ready to find her forever home! She was in rescue for a while, but then the BB Vet Team diagnosed her with mild constriction of her pupils and slow heart rate caused by high vagal tone. We wanted to take a look at this further so she was scheduled for an Atropine response test. This made sure there was nothing wrong with his heart, and good news is that his heart is doing well! The TBB vet consulted with an internal medicine specialist and the most likely cause for his symptoms was mild or early hypothyroidism. It is recommended that Paradise get annual blood work performed to monitor thyroid and other organ function similar to any other senior dog! The other medical finding was that Paradise needs a bilateral MPL (medial patellar luxation) repair surgery. This surgery is scheduled for Thursday May 15th. Paradise can still go to her forever home and as long as her new family can agree to bring her to that appointment. In her adoption contract TBB will agree to cover May 15th surgery + 1 recheck and 1 round of medications as deemed medically necessary by the BB Vet Team. We hope her forever family is waiting just around the corner!
