I have the softest coat and I think you will agree! I am a shy little girl, so having a confident dog in my forever home is required. Another dog will be helpful to show me the ropes, help me get on a routine and help me feel comfortable in my surroundings. Derby is very playful and plays with anything he finds. He loves finding branches out in the yard, dragging them around and then nibbling on them. He loves rough housing with the Standard Poodles who is remarkably gentle with him. He’s prone to chasing the cats but now stops when told no. In the house he plays with the small stuffed animals a lot. Derby sleeps nicely in his crate with no fussing. We are working on potty training, but hes still a puppy.   He’s a funny little guy who loves to snuggle when he’s tired. He gives endless kisses. He walks nicely on a leash. Meet Candy, as sweet as her namesake. She's a 2 year-old, 11-lb bundle of cuteness ready to steal your heart. Candy is a mixed breed pup estimated to be a terrier/sheltie mix.Candy loves hanging out with her people and getting pets and love as much as she gives it. She is very shy and anxious in new situations and would do best in a home that can give her slow introductions to new people and pets. Candy lives with senior dogs in her foster home. She would most likely flourish with a patient and affectionate small-breed dog to help build her confidence. Otherwise, she'd do well as a solo dog if given the attention she needs to come out of her shell. She loves to get her outdoor time, running circles around a fenced yard.Candy came to rescue with little training, but has made significant progress since being in her foster home. She is potty trained and does okay on a leash. She’s not very food motivated so lots of praise and positive reinforcement is key in teaching her new things!Candy has developed separation anxiety which is a work in progress. She will do best in a home where she can see her people throughout the day. Her forever home will be one that can accommodate these needs while continuing to improve on these behaviors.
