Meet Pepper 🐾 Pepper is a 3-year-old Pomeranian mix who came to us from a hoarding situation and had very minimal human interaction before entering rescue. Because of this, much of the world is completely new and overwhelming to her. She has never worn a collar or harness. She has never been on a leash. Because of this, Pepper is considered a flight risk and will need a home that understands the importance of safety, secure handling, and a very cautious approach as she learns to feel safe. Pepper is shy, fearful, and unsure, but she deserves a calm, compassionate foster or adopter who can give her the space, consistency, and understanding she needs to feel safe. A quiet home with realistic expectations will be essential for her success. Pepper has shown that she can do well with cats and is good with other dogs when given proper, slow introductions. She also loves stuffed toys, which bring her comfort and help her feel a little more secure as she settles in. If you have experience with fearful dogs or hoarding cases—or simply a big heart and patience—Pepper could truly benefit from you. Even a foster home can make a life-changing difference for her.

Mickey is a young, sweet boy with a heart that’s just waiting for the right person to help it shine. Mickey was found wandering the streets of New York City—scared, alone, and unsure of the world around him. We believe Mickey may have had a family at some point, but when no one came forward to claim him, we knew he deserved a second chance at the safe and loving life every dog deserves. Mickey can be a little timid when meeting new people; it's understandable given his recent past that he just needs a moment to take things in and feel safe. But once he warms up, his true personality comes out—and it’s something really special. Mickey is the definition of a velcro dog. When he bonds with someone, he bonds deeply. He wants to be by your side through everything—whether you’re working from home, going for a walk, or just moving from room to room. Wherever you go, Mickey will happily follow, content just to be near his person. Mickey walks great on a leash and is already house trained.  Because of his sensitive nature, Mickey would do best in a calm, quiet home with someone who will give him the patience and reassurance he needs to continue building his confidence. In return, he’ll give you unwavering loyalty, companionship, and a best friend who will always be there. Mickey isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for his person. Could that be you?
