Trixie is a 7 year old 8 pound Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix. For seven years, little Trixie was confined to a life in a puppy mill, missing out on the kindness and love that life has to offer. Despite this difficult start, Trixie is a friendly and inquisitive dog, eager for the company of other dogs and finding comfort in the presence of her friend, Peaches. Trixie would benefit from having a consistent canine companion, which would enhance her life. The volunteers' observations highlight her bravery and affectionate nature, as she seeks interaction and belly rubs. She will be very happy to cuddle up anywhere, anytime. Hope can you resist this face?! Trixie deserves a life filled with love, luxury, and proper care. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. Ruki already had a skin disease and wasn’t able to get proper treatment at the shelter. So Adogs rescued him before it became worse. 3⃣ Basic Information ❗️As a young puppy, he may need training in areas such as separation anxiety, potty habits, biting, nipping, whining, disorderly behaviors, howling and barking. ❗️It is difficult to predict his shedding and growth size because his parents are unknown. ❗️Since puppies grow very rapidly until they are 10 months old, their current appearance may differ slightly from the photos. * With People: Is shy with new people and isn’t comfortable with human touch yet, so he must be cornered before he can be petted. However, he accepts it nicely once you actually touch him although he still needs more time to become comfortable with it since he’s timid. Lives and moves around comfortably around familiar people. Has an occasional accident on cushions when he gets scared or startled. * Hygiene: Does well with baths. * Walks: Unknown because he hasn’t had experience with walks yet. * Car Sickness: Has a bit of motion sickness so care is needed. * Nipping: Usually doesn't bite, but since he is very fearful, he may nip defensively depending on the situation. Care and patience are required. * Barking: Might whimper if you try to hug him against his will. Also, tends to "cry" or whine to let you know when he has had a bowel movement and need it cleaned up. * Likes: Likes treats but the vet suggested to cut back on them. Rescue Story Bamtori was living along with Boksunga(Adogs' dog) as neglected dogs under unsanitary conditions at a narrow alley in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu. After a long process of persuasion, Adogs team obtained a relinquishment agreement from their owner and safely rescued both dogs.3.) Basic Information With People: Loves people — even strangers! Easily trusts familiar people and seeks comfort from them. Is a sweet, loving little dog who enjoys being petted and loves to climb into people’s laps for cuddles. With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs. Has a calm personality and enjoys spending time alone, but also likes to play excitedly with his close friends. With Cats: Coexisted peacefully with cats at our Center. Separation Anxiety: Unclear, as it hasn’t been long since he moved to his foster home. Did well alone at the Center. Potty Training: Used potty pads indoors at the Center, but more monitoring is required since it hasn’t been long since he moved to his foster home. Hygiene: Generally tolerates being handled and groomed quite well. Car Sickness: Relaxes comfortably and rests well during car rides. Biting: Doesn’t bite at all — is a gentle and calm boy. Barking: Sometimes barks, but it’s not loud or bothersome. Like: Likes playing with toys. Dislike: If a smaller dog approaches and steals your attention, he might give that dog a little jealous scolding.* Personality: Is calm and doesn’t have high energy levels, but becomes playful with close friends. Left completely with nowhere to go, Adogs immediately stepped in to rescue both Raccoon and Coke. 3️⃣ Basic Information * With People: Experiences initial shyness around strangers, but he warms up and builds a close bond relatively quickly. * With Dogs: Remains indifferent to other dogs, preferring not to engage in play. Is a quiet boy who genuinely enjoys his independent, solitary time. * With Cats: Shows no significant interest in cats. * Separation Anxiety: Currently unknown due to the communal center environment. Consistent transition training will be recommended once he enters a household. * Potty Training: Currently practices indoor elimination at our center. * Hygiene: Had been fully groomed and cared for prior to being abandoned. His current cooperativeness with grooming will continue to be observed and evaluated. * Walks: As a recent rescue who is still adjusting to life at our center, he has no outdoor walking experience yet. * Car Sickness: Travels well in vehicles without displaying any signs of motion sickness. * Has absolutely no history of biting or snapping. However, likely due to past trauma, he exhibits severe vocal sensitivity—screaming in fear—if someone attempts to touch his chest and belly or tries to pick him up. * May emit a watchful, defensive growl when a person approaches his space initially. * Thoroughly enjoys delicious treats and loves receiving gentle pets once he feels secure. * Feels highly uncomfortable and anxious about being held or picked up. * While he carries a bit of initial wariness, he is a deeply gentle, calm, and quiet soul who warms up beautifully over time. Raccoon will thrive best in a patient home that will gently embrace him with love, allowing him to heal at his own pace.
