Pomeranian puppies and dogs in Acton, Ontario

Jag is being fostered in Kingston Ontario. Jag is an 8 year old, 15 pound, spayed, house and crate trained, female Pomeranian mix.  Her coat is cloud-soft but has shown no tendencies to mat so she always looks beautiful. Jag would do best in a quiet household with a person home most of the time.  She is well-behaved in the home and not destructive although she will shred tissues if she finds one. She requires a detached home with a private, fully fenced yard.  True to her breed mix, Jag is very sensitive to noises she hears while inside and outside the home.  She will alarm bark when startled by random noises and it can take her a bit of time to regain her calm.   As a result, we will not consider applications with shared walls for her.  She is low-energy, liking outside but mainly sniffing the grass rather than walking very far. She's generally fine with passing cars and people who don’t try to approach her but will bark at dogs and is not eager to befriend any.  She has also never lived with another dog or cat and we are hoping for a home without other animals for her. Jag will bark at visitors who come to the home and it does take her some time to feel comfortable with new people.  Once she is comfortable, she loves to cuddle and is happiest when sitting with her people on the couch with hands stroking her.  An adult only home where her routines are calm and predictable would best bring out her sweet personality. Ellana is 5–6 years young, about 12.5 lbs, and a fluffy PomChi with a BIG personality! She has an adorable waddle, signature snaggle tooth, incredibly soft fur and enough sass to keep you laughing. She’s funny, silly, lovable and, once she trusts you, incredibly sweet. This little girl has been through it. Ellana survived a hoarding situation where the house caught fire, was confiscated by animal control, and later found herself at ACS and on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, her story didn’t end there. Today she’s safe, loved and ready for a real home of her own. Ellana takes time to warm up. New people may get barking, side-eye and her best “I’m very intimidating” performance. Give her time and she usually decides you’re okay. Once you’re in her circle, she can be incredibly loving and may end up in your lap! She isn’t aggressive, but she can be a fear-reactor if startled or cornered and has nipped when frightened. She needs an adult-only home with someone patient who understands dog boundaries. Ellana gets along well with dogs and cats. She loves to play but is also the self-appointed mama bear of the group! She supervises, breaks up rowdy play and lets everyone know when it’s nap time. While in Texas, Ellana occasionally displayed a funny mouth movement that looked like a fish breathing out of water. It never bothered her and has never been observed since arriving in Canada. Health update: Ellana had a cancerous mammary tumor removed over a year ago. Her biopsy showed cancer cells, so her long-term prognosis is uncertain. She may have a few more years, or she may surprise us and live many more. She currently has mild arthritis and easily takes pain medication as needed, mostly during very cold winter weather. Her vet is also monitoring an enlarged lymph node on one leg. It may be related to her previous surgery, but currently does not appear concerning. Ellana received her yearly vaccinations in July, including her required booster. Ellana isn’t for everyone—and that’s okay. She needs someone who appreciates a little sass, respects her boundaries and will give her time to feel safe. She’s a good catch. She just needs the right home

He can be overwhelmed by noise and new people, so slow introductions and consistency are key. With the right support, he settles in beautifully. Meet Otte   Age: Approx. 8 years old Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Pomeranian Color: Tan Weight: 6 kg (13 lbs)   Rescue Story   Otte was found abandoned at a garbage site in heartbreaking condition, unable to properly use his hind legs due to serious injuries to both legs.   After being rescued, he underwent surgery followed by rehabilitation and has made an amazing recovery. He is now enjoying everyday life and is ready to find his forever family.   Despite everything he has been through, Otte is an affectionate little cuddle bug who loves people, attention, and treats!   ‍‍‍ Social with People   Otte enjoys affection and being close to his people. He can be picked up and carried, and once he feels comfortable with someone, he will even roll over and show his belly.   Otte does have some clear boundaries when it comes to handling. Because of his previous injuries and surgeries, he is particularly sensitive around his hind legs, hips, and tail. He may growl or attempt to nip if his legs are restrained or handled in a way that makes him uncomfortable, especially during things like nail trimming.   He may also occasionally decide he has had enough after being petted for a while and give a warning—only to come back shortly afterward asking to be petted again!   Otte needs someone who will pay attention to his body language and respect his boundaries rather than forcing interaction when he is uncomfortable.   With unfamiliar people, he may initially be hesitant to go for a walk, but usually becomes much more comfortable once he has had a little time to get to know them.   Social with Dogs   Otte is generally friendly with other dogs. He will approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, although he usually isn’t particularly interested in playing with them.   He does well with dogs of different sizes, including dogs that are larger, similar in size, or smaller than him. Very high-energy dogs can be a little overwhelming for him, so a calmer canine companion would likely be a better match.   If another dog becomes confrontational, Otte generally prefers to avoid conflict rather than engage.   Cats   On walks, Otte does not show much interest in cats and tends to remain focused on his person.   Energy & Walks   Otte has a moderate energy level. He enjoys walks and outdoor activities but is also happy to relax afterward.   Although he has a significant orthopedic history, he has recovered well following surgery and rehabilitation and is able to enjoy his normal daily activities.   At Home   Otte is very food-motivated and loves his treats. He does not guard food from people.   He isn’t a fan of wearing clothes and may also be uncomfortable when a harness is being put on, so gentle and patient handling is important. He does, however, do well with brushing.   He has plenty of classic Pomeranian personality—affectionate, expressive, confident, and very clear about what he likes and doesn’t like!   Medical History   Otte has a history of significant injuries involving both hind legs. He underwent surgery in March 2026, followed by rehabilitation, and has recovered well. He is currently able to enjoy his normal daily activities.   Because of his previous injuries and surgeries, he can be sensitive to handling around his hind legs, hips, and tail, so gentle handling and respect for his boundaries are important.   Otte’s coat were shaved for his surgery and have been slow to grow back. He has been evaluated by a veterinarian, but at this point it is unclear whether his coat will fully grow back over time.   Ideal Home   Otte would do best with someone who appreciates the personality of a Pomeranian and understands that an affectionate dog can still have boundaries.   Previous experience with Pomeranians or similarly confident small dogs would be a plus. Most importantly, his adopter should be willing to read his body language, respect his signals, and use gentle handling—particularly around his hind legs.   After everything Otte has been through, he remains a loving little dog who wants to be close to his people.   Otte is looking for someone who will love his cuddly side, respect his boundaries, and appreciate his sassy little Pomeranian personality. Since I’m still building confidence in new environments, I may try to slip through an open door if I see an opportunity. With patience, a secure environment, and lots of love, I know my sweet and cuddly personality will continue to blossom.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when we first meet, but with some patience and a few tasty treats, I warm up quickly and will happily take treats right from your hand. Since I didn’t have many opportunities for socialization earlier in life, I simply need a little extra time and understanding as I adjust to new people and environments. I even did wonderfully during my profile photoshoot and showed everyone just how sweet I can be! I’m comfortable being picked up, but gentle handling is important to me, especially when we’re still getting to know each other. I feel safest when my body and bottom are properly supported, and sudden pick-ups in unfamiliar environments can startle me and make me very scared. Once I’ve had time to build trust, though, I’m much more comfortable being held. After all, who doesn’t appreciate being treated with a little patience and gentleness? · With Dogs: I enjoy greeting new dogs, but I prefer to take my time rather than jumping straight into play. I coexist peacefully with my dog friends at the care facility and am comfortable sharing my space with them. I generally feel most at ease with dogs around my size or smaller, especially those with a calm and respectful approach. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a low energy level and am a true little couch potato at heart! I love spending my days relaxing, snoozing, and enjoying the comfort of a cozy indoor space. I don’t need constant activity to be happy and am perfectly content taking it easy and resting near my people.   TRAINING & HABITS I have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals from either people or other dogs. I’m a sweet, gentle girl with fluffy white fur, adorable pink ears, a pleasantly round little body, and a beautiful smiling face. I can be cautious around unfamiliar people at first, and in some situations I may bark quite a bit when someone new appears. But my uncertainty tends to disappear quickly—sometimes treats are all it takes to get our friendship started! I’ve even approached people I’ve just met to ask for affection, and I can usually become comfortable within a day. Once you start petting me, there’s a very good chance I’ll roll right over and show you my belly. I do this often when I’m enjoying affection, and I’ve even been known to lie down in the middle of a walk when someone stops to pet me. During an outdoor photo session I was initially unsure of everything, but once I was brought inside and given some gentle pets, I immediately rolled onto my back and relaxed. I may need a moment to feel safe, but there’s a wonderfully affectionate girl waiting just underneath that initial hesitation. I’m naturally very soft-natured, though, and even when I’m sharing treats alongside other dogs, I haven’t shown any tendency to guard the food.
