Story
Helloooo from the clouds! My name is Leo, and I'm the goofiest, happiest pal to a future lucky human. I'm the most stereotypical Pomeranian in every way except size. I'm intelligent, energetic, sassy, and an armful of dog. I love all the joys that life has to offer - walks, car rides, hikes, long naps, off leash adventures with a pack, bike rides (I ride in a backpack!), obedience and trick training, camping, playing with all my dogs friends, and much more!Like the average Pom, I can be pretty nervous at first and need someone patient who will let me warm up at my own pace. I don't like when strangers reach their hands straight at me without letting me get to know them first. I'm not a fan of young kids that are inexperienced with dogs and need either an adult only home or a home with chill older kids. I tend to bark at kids, cats, squirrels, and some dogs on leash when outside. I respond really well to positive reinforcement training and hope to continue that to decrease my stress and reactions. My general anxiety also means that alone time stresses me out and would need someone who is understanding of separation anxiety. I'm not super clingy when you're home, but I can only handle about 4 hours of alone time during the day and even less later at night. I've come a long way with training and medication, but minimal alone time is still a must. I'm not destructive or harmful to myself, but I do bark during separation anxiety episodes. It might be hard for me to live with shared walls.I would LOVE to have at least one other dog at home. In fact, I probably need a dog buddy. This could significantly decrease my anxiety both when alone and throughout the day. Playing with dogs is my favorite thing ever. I board with a group of dogs and go on pack adventures regularly, and the people taking care of me say I'm at my most relaxed and easy going when surrounded by other dogs. A major plus would be a fenced yard for me to play with my dog siblings all day.In the right home environment, I will be the most loyal, snuggly friend for life. Patience and enrichment is a must, but it will be so rewarded.I'm in a foster home, so please fill out an application at animalaidpdx.org to meet me!Est. DOB: 1/9/2024 Weight: 14lb

Story
Buster may be tiny, but he has enough personality to fill a whole house. Left behind when his owner moved out of state, Buster came to rescue with his mom and two other dogs. Thankfully, that chapter of his life is over, and now he's ready for a family that will never leave him behind. At just 4 months old, this adorable Pomeranian mix is the happiest, spunkiest little guy you'll ever meet. He likes to put on a tough act by barking at strangers, but don't let that fool you. Within seconds he's running over to cover them in kisses and make a new friend. Buster loves to cuddle, sleep with his people, and be wherever the action is. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and is also great with cats, making him an easy fit for almost any home. Everywhere he goes, he brings laughter, affection, and endless tail wags. Good fit: someone looking for a happy, affectionate puppy who loves everyone and wants to be part of the family. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (neutered/spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $550 (includes transport + vetting) Bonus: Each adoption includes a 30-minute phone consultation with a professional trainer Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ Think you might be a good fit? Story
I got Jiro from a breeder in Washington, Parkers precious poms. They closed about a year after we got him or I would return him to the breeder. He is a good boy. He is potty pad trained. He is a bit of a bully with other dogs and isn't well socialized because he tends to go after dogs bigger than him. Big Pom personality. He gets along with our cat. He does not however get along with our 1 year old. He growls at her. Because of this, he spends all his time separated from the family. She recently hit his eye while playing and injured him. Because he's depressed he had also been chewing on his paws alot so we just started allergy pills for that. I don't think his behavior is going to get better with the baby and don't want to wait until something bad happens. Jiro deserves a good home where he can be the center of attention. I will provide grooming tools, table, a bin of toys. He is a good boy, but I need to put my baby first. I hope you will love him as much as we do

Story
This is koya, he’s about 8 years old and I got him from a distant relative when he was about a year old. Koya loves going on runs and walks. He likes the dog park, but only for about 40 minutes and then he’ll want to leave to go on a walk instead. He loves food and snacks. I’m hoping to find someone who has more time for him, and maybe a place that has room for him to run, or walk. Someone who enjoys walks would be a perfect match. He also likes just sleeping on the couch and lazing around, so he’s a very versatile dog. He does have some dental issues, so keeping up with his brushing and opting for teeth healthy snacks would be best.
