Meet Rigoletto, a 1-year-old, assumed Pomeranian/Spaniel mix, weighing 15 Pounds. This youngster is sweet, not needy, has great potty manners, walks nicely on a leash, and has an independent, nonchalant way about him. He is eager to please and very engaging. He gets on wonderfully with other dogs of his same size; not sure about larger breeds. He likes to sit on the porch and watch passersby and birds flitting in the birdbath. He is a happy little dude. He is up to date on vaccines and waiting for his neuter appointment. Tell us about you, your family, your activities, your property, the city you live in, other pets in your home, and whatever else puts you on top. The more information about you, the better. What can this companion expect from you, and what are your expectations of him/her? Additionally, we will not meet halfway. Helloooo from the clouds! My name is Leo, and I'm the goofiest, happiest pal to a future lucky human. I'm the most stereotypical Pomeranian in every way except size. I'm intelligent, energetic, sassy, and an armful of dog. I love all the joys that life has to offer - walks, car rides, hikes, long naps, off leash adventures with a pack, bike rides (I ride in a backpack!), obedience and trick training, camping, playing with all my dogs friends, and much more!Like the average Pom, I can be pretty nervous at first and need someone patient who will let me warm up at my own pace. I don't like when strangers reach their hands straight at me without letting me get to know them first. I'm not a fan of young kids that are inexperienced with dogs and need either an adult only home or a home with chill older kids. I tend to bark at kids, cats, squirrels, and some dogs on leash when outside. I respond really well to positive reinforcement training and hope to continue that to decrease my stress and reactions.My general anxiety also means that alone time stresses me out and would need someone who is understanding of separation anxiety. I'm not super clingy when you're home, but I can only handle about 4 hours of alone time during the day and even less later at night. I've come a long way with training and medication, but minimal alone time is still a must. I'm not destructive or harmful to myself, but I do bark during separation anxiety episodes. It might be hard for me to live with shared walls.I would LOVE to have at least one other dog at home. In fact, I probably need a dog buddy. This could significantly decrease my anxiety both when alone and throughout the day. Playing with dogs is my favorite thing ever. I board with a group of dogs and go on pack adventures regularly, and the people taking care of me say I'm at my most relaxed and easy going when surrounded by other dogs. A major plus would be a fenced yard for me to play with my dog siblings all day.In the right home environment, I will be the most loyal, snuggly friend for life. Pinkie girl has been with us quite awhile, she went to a foster to adopt but got herself in trouble as typical to her breed she needs an experienced handler who doesnt have a hard time putting rules and boundaries in place. She LOVES her person and her space really anything that is "hers". She is e collar trained, prong collar trained, crate trained, house trained and good with cats and dogs (dog savvy cats and had to be told for the first few weeks to leave them alone occasionally). She needs routine, love with boundaries, and is an amazing dog who will give you the absolute best cuddles and boops. She is only about 1.6 years now 18lbs, lives with various other dogs, probably best no younger kids as she is a herding breed who is prone to wanting to herd fast moving things, she did live with kids from 8 and up previously. She knows all her basic commands (sit, down, off, no, stay, come) she would love a fenced property where she can exist outside during the day and hunt anything that moves (squirrels, chipmunks, lizards), she enjoys a baby pool, she likes walks and going in the car with her person, she prefers not to say hi to strangers and should be introduced slowly and with treats or put away when people visit until she knows them. We will train any serious home on her commands and how to use the tools shes been trained on. (Video of her in river in comment- I hope ) Pinky. She is a 1 year old 18lb Mini Aussie Pom mix whose all smarts of the aussie breed and pom love bug, she is good with other dogs, can co-exist with cats (occasionally chases if they run but listens very well to NO), has basic commands and leash skills, LOVES her crate and is amazing in a crate or kennel. She is a sweet girl with more of a shorter semi fluffy aussie mix coat. She has been a joy to have here in foster at my house and would thrive with anyone who has the knowledge of herding or smart breeds who love daily walk, playtime and food/treat puzzles for mental stimulation. She is amazingly smart and picks up a routine really fast and learns what is expected and isn't OK in a new home pretty quickly. She is great with our 10 other dogs and fosters from 2lbs to 80lbs. She is house trained as well and has had no accidents since coming to our house. She can be a little leery of men, and some new people in her environment and will run away or bark but will accept a treat and a couple scratches, warming up more over time.
