Story
Buster may be tiny, but he has enough personality to fill a whole house. Left behind when his owner moved out of state, Buster came to rescue with his mom and two other dogs. Thankfully, that chapter of his life is over, and now he's ready for a family that will never leave him behind. At just 4 months old, this adorable Pomeranian mix is the happiest, spunkiest little guy you'll ever meet. He likes to put on a tough act by barking at strangers, but don't let that fool you. Within seconds he's running over to cover them in kisses and make a new friend. Buster loves to cuddle, sleep with his people, and be wherever the action is. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and is also great with cats, making him an easy fit for almost any home. Everywhere he goes, he brings laughter, affection, and endless tail wags. Good fit: someone looking for a happy, affectionate puppy who loves everyone and wants to be part of the family. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (neutered/spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $550 (includes transport + vetting) Bonus: Each adoption includes a 30-minute phone consultation with a professional trainer Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ Think you might be a good fit? Story
TRACE IS READY TO FIND HIS VERY FIRST HOME!Meet Trace.Trace is a 4-year-old, 15-pound Pomeranian who is ready to trade his past for the life he should have had all along.Trace's life didn't exactly come with a great user manual. He was used for breeding and had very little human interaction, so when he first arrived in rescue, the big wide world—and especially people—were pretty darn scary. But guess what? Trace has discovered that humans can be pretty wonderful. He has learned to completely trust his foster mom and has become her adorable little shadow. Wherever she goes, Trace is right behind her. And when something scares him? He makes a beeline for his person because he knows she will keep him safe. And once Trace feels safe with you, his personality starts to shine. He is loving, incredibly sweet, intelligent, a fast learner, and surprisingly silly! He has a fun little sense of humor and can be quite the goofball once he lets his guard down.Basically, there's a whole lot of adorable Pomeranian personality hiding underneath that shy exterior.Traces perfect home will understand that trust takes time. He needs someone who will let him go at his own pace, be patient with him, and show him—over and over—that he is safe and loved.A quiet home without children would be ideal. Someone who is home more often than not would be wonderful. Another dog—or three!—around his size to help him feel comfortable would be the icing on his little Pomeranian cake. A secure, fully fenced yard is required because Trace is still learning about all those strange outdoor sights and sounds and can spook easily. He has never lived with cats, but since he isn't particularly interested in chasing things, a kitty companion may be considered. He is working hard on his potty skills and wears a belly band for good measure. Hey, nobody's perfect!Trace isn't looking for someone who expects him to become a social butterfly overnight. He's looking for his person. Someone who will be his protector. Someone who will give him time. Someone who will celebrate the little victories—the first time he confidently walks into a room, the first time he asks for attention, the first time he realizes, Ohhh...this is my HOME.If you think you could be that person for Trace, we would love for you to apply to meet him. Story
Trixie-Pomeranian/Chihuahua/Rat Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix-female-6 1/2 months-20 pounds. Trixie is a 6½-month-old Pomeranian/Chihuahua/Rat Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix who came to us from an Amish farm, where she and her brother were the last of their litter and needed homes. She’s beautifully marked — a sable body, a merle-colored head, and even a little white tip on her tail that makes her extra charming. Trixie is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She’s eager to please, willing to learn, and has already shown how much she enjoys connecting with people. She’s been around children, farm animals, and other dogs, giving her a great foundation for settling into a family. With her mix, we expect she’ll stay in the smaller-medium-size range once fully grown. Fun-loving, gentle, and full of potential, Trixie will make a wonderful companion for someone ready to give her a loving home. Apply to meet her at www.cchswi.org DATCP License #266742-DS
