Story
Bree is being fostered in NJ. Her name is Bree but you could also call her Little Miss Perfect! Bree, Bree The cutest dog who cannot see Soft and furry is her coat When on your lap, you will surely dote She dreams of her own forever family For your love and loyalty she does plea Yes, Bree loves poetry! She also loves snuggles, treats, sniffing around the yard, and squeaky toys. Bree was an only dog for most of her life. Then she arrived at our crazy home and had to adjust to sharing everything with the other dogs. She is now a well-mannered, affectionate, friendly little gal. Bree adjusted to her foster home with no problem and immediately found her way around. She makes a cute low grumbling sound when she needs to go outside or wants the water bowl filled up. Just don't bother her when she is eating - she is very serious about meal time! Bree has the playfulness of a puppy - if you bring Bree into your family, have plenty of squeaky toys on hand. She loves to destroy them to get the squeaker out! Bree is also happy to sit on your lap or next to you as you relax. She enjoys "watching" TV and is a big Phillies fan. Her favorite player is Brandon Marsh - Bree likes his long beard. She is also an excellent car rider. Bree knows to "sit" when receiving a treat. And she does expect a treat when she comes back inside from going potty. Bree mostly sleeps in her own dog bed at night, but will sometimes want to sleep in the bed next to someone. As with any blind dog, Bree can be startled by a sudden noise or touch. She would do best with older children (over age 6). She needs to be introduced slowly to other dogs. Bree prefers a private dining experience. Even though Bree is a senior dog, she has plenty of playful years ahead of her and will be a joy to any family who adopts her. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Meet Gaitlyn Rae! Age: 5 Breed: Pomeranian Weight: 7lbs Good with: dog, older kids (not cat tested) House training: working on it! Crate trained: does not use a crate Needs: secured, fenced in yard Gaitlyn is a 5 year old, 7 pound Pomeranian and she's extra special because she is a puppy mill survivor. Her entire life was spent in a cage with very little human contact. The summers were scorching hot without air conditioning, and freezing cold without heat during the winter months in the barn. She made the Amish farmer a lot of money because every litter of puppies she had were sold to the pet stores where the unsuspecting public would then purchase her beautiful babies not realizing what the parents of those puppies were living through day after day, year after year. Because of her cruel background, she is very leary of humans. She desires to be in the same room as her foster parents and she especially adores her foster dad, but she doesn't yet know how to enjoy the coziness of being in someone's arms. She is very nervous of being picked up and held but is slowly learning that not all people will hurt her. Before she was rescued, she had never walked on grass, felt the warmth of sun or felt the wind in her face but now that she has freedom, she loves to be outside in her secured fenced yard. Gaitlyn is looking for a special home; one where her new family understands her past and is happy to take the time to allow her to become the dog she was meant to be. This will take time and patience. She will require a home with a secure, fully fenced yard for her safety. Another small, gentle dog in her new home will be great for her because dogs are all she knows and trusts. In fact, she will learn many things with another dog to show her the way. Gentle children over 10 years old would be perfect for her because young children can be scary with their quick moments and loud voices. Gaitlyn is working on her potty skills and she is making great progress hitting the potty pad and learning from the other dogs in her foster home that going potty outside is just what dogs do. She has not been around kitties, but she doesn't have the desire to chase things. She is a very sweet little girl and her foster parents adore her. She's full of sunshine and happiness. She just needs her new family to allow her the time to blossom right before their eyes and experience her first things right along with her. Gaitlyn Rae is fostered in the Delavan, WI area Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs.
