Meet Leo AKA Maverick! Leo (Maverick) is a super sweet, loving boy who brings together good manners, affection, and just the right amount of adventure. He enjoys walks and absolutely loves car and even boat rides, making him a fun companion for outings. One of his favorite places is his kennel, he runs right to it when asked (especially if a treat is involved!) and is quiet and content when kenneled. He also does very well when left alone. Leo has excellent house manners. He waits patiently for his food, waits at doors when told, and loves rolling onto his back for belly rubs. He’s comfortable with gentle handling and even allows tooth brushing and light grooming. He starts out with a bit of energy but settles quickly, making him a great fit for a calmer, lower-energy home. He is affectionate and cuddly with his people and enjoys toys of all kinds. Leo is generally good meeting new people, though he appreciates slow, respectful introductions, he can become uneasy if someone moves too quickly or pushes past his comfort level. He can be reactive to sudden or surprising things, but when he feels safe and understands what’s going on around him, he is well behaved and responsive. He takes corrections well and looks to his people for guidance. Because of some fear-based reactivity, Leo would do best in a home without children. He has been good with other dogs of all sizes and has no known issues with cats. Leo is an entertaining, loyal companion who truly enjoys his humans and thrives with clear expectations and calm leadership. With the right home and continued guidance, he’ll be the very best version of himself. Leo already knows: -Potty trained -Kennel trained -Sit -Down -Stay -Wait -Place -Watch me -Drop -Leave it -With me Leo is ready for a patient, understanding home where he can feel safe, loved, and appreciated for the wonderful dog he is. Leo is located at our Sanctuary near Marion, WI where any meet and greets with him will take place.

History: Gary is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Hello world! I was rescued from a breeder release situation and I am LOVING the new life! I am so friendly with no fear and get along with people of all ages, and dogs of all kinds! I love cats too, but have to be reminded to be gentle. I am teething, So I do chew, but so well with redirection! I love to play and then cuddle right up on you when I am done! I absolutely love my foster people and follow them everywhere! I have some separation anxiety, so when my people aren't in my view I do tend to panic a little, but I'm fearful of being left again! Then kennel is a little daunting as I can't see you when I'm in there, but I quiet down after about 10 minutes. Toys and chews are so great and I love food And being held!! I am getting much better at potty training and am very smart and picking up on training.

History: Bogo is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Hello World! My name is Bogo and I am as sweet as they come! I came from a breeder release situation and am loving the good life now!! Im good with people of all ages and dogs of all sizes! I have to be reminded to not nip at cats though! I love to cuddle and play with my foster siblings and love my foster people!! I follow them everywhere! I also love to be held and just be on your lap! I do have energy and love to play, and love to chew on things I am not supposed to, but foster mama redirects me and I go with it.. most times! I love a good nap buddy after I have had time to play and wrestle! I'm working on my basic commands and potty training, but I'm pretty smart!! I also LOVE food, but I don't like the kennel too much as this means I can't be with my foster people, but I'll quiet down after a bit. I just don't really like to be alone! Will you be my forever home and cuddle buddy??

History: Polar is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: If you are looking for a mini Husky as a pet, Polar would be your guy! Like any Husky, being outside in the snow is one of his favorite places to be! He loves playing, digging and running around as well as trying to catch snowballs! He is a sweet little guy who loves lots of pets and attention! Very friendly with people. It doesn’t appear that he inherited the Husky need to talk, and I’ve only heard him bark once! He came from a breeder release, so he is still figuring life outside of a crate. It may take some time for him to warm up to a house, but it doesn’t take long! He may put up a little fuss about being put in a crate, but he will settle down. He has been doing well with potty training. I try to put him outside at regular intervals and he doesn’t have accidents in between! He also keeps his crate pretty clean!

History: Chett is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Meet Chett - a 1.5 year old handsome and sweet Pomsky! He loves romping around in the snow and would do great with an active person or family who loves to go on walks and hikes. Chett is 40 pounds, athletic, and has striking blue eyes that will melt your heart. His soft fur requires some occasional brushing and his sweet disposition would make him a great cuddle buddy. He’s crate trained, mostly housebroken (needs consistency), and social with other dogs and kids. At night he sleeps in his crate, you might hear that husky howel once a night or in the morning or when leaving him but he’ll quite down after a few howels but we never hear it outside of that or barking at other dogs. With his energetic personality and sense of adventure, he’d do great in a fenced in back yard where he can run around.

Daisy is a great cuddler. She also loves her walks and playtime outside. She is 4 years old. She is house broke but not kennel trained. She dislikes the kennel very much. She is the love of my life and it breaks my heart that I have to tehome her do to health issues. She's great in the car. Think she would do ok with cats and other small dogs. Good with kids as long as they don't get too rough and accidentally hurt her. Likes to sleep in bed with you. She's not really a bed hog tho. She will be your best friend and support you will ever need. She has been for me.
