Arlo is a beautiful Pomeranian mix puppy who is getting a fresh start after being found as a stray by Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission. He’ll be arriving at our shelter tomorrow, and we’re hoping to have a loving home ready and waiting for him! Because Arlo was found as a stray and has not yet arrived in our care, we don’t have any background history on him yet. What we do know is that he’s a puppy, which means he’s full of potential and ready to learn. With proper introductions, Arlo will likely do well with other dogs, cats, and kids. As a young dog, Arlo will need a family committed to continuing his basic training, positive socialization, and confidence-building so he can grow into a well-adjusted adult. He’ll also need adopters who are ready to keep up with his gorgeous, long, thick coat, which will require regular grooming and brushing to keep him looking and feeling his best. ✨ Early applications are now being accepted! Our goal is to keep Arlo out of the shelter environment and have approved adopters lined up before he even arrives. If you’re ready for the joys of puppyhood—and a fluffy companion to match—Arlo may be the perfect addition to your family. I`m a little 9 lb bundle of goofy, sweet, nervous personality wrapped in very soft Pomeranian fur. I spent the first part of my life breeding and I`m still learning to trust humans, but dogs are AMAZING. I love love love other dogs and would do best in a home with another dog. I also get along with cats! I`m looking for a quiet household with a steady routine and no small children. My favorite thing in the whole world is running full tilt through the yard and rolling around in plants, so I`d really love a home with a fenced in backyard or a family that`s willing to take me to the dog park regularly. I love foster mom and love being near her and giving her kisses on the hand, but I`m not ready to snuggle and I get really nervous about getting pets. I had a dental and they took most of my teeth so now my lips get caught on the teeth I have left and foster mom laughs at my silly faces.
