Meet Montana! Montana is a 2 year old Shepherd mix weighing approximately 56 pounds who has now spent 106 days at the shelter as of 08/12/26 waiting for his forever home. As one of our Diamond Dogs, his adoption fee has been reduced to just $75 to help him find the second chance he deserves. Montana came to us after his previous owners were no longer able to care for him. He arrived with a severe neck injury caused by a collar that had been far too tight, but he has healed well and is ready to start a new chapter. Montana is a sweet, gentle boy who is gaining confidence every day. He walks well on a leash and will thrive with a patient family that can provide love, structure, and encouragement. Montana is not good with cats and will need a cat free home. If you have another dog at home, a meet and greet will be required prior to adoption to help ensure a good match. Montana is heartworm positive, but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, his heartworm treatment is sponsored. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination, and current on his basic boosters.
