2 year old Jackson is looking for his forever people! Jackson is the cutest little floofball there is! Despite being deaf, Jackson is incredibly smart and it doesn’t slow him down. He’s picking up hand signs and learning from watching his big foster siblings, who he gets along with great! Jackson was diagnosed with Megaesophagus and needs a family that can support him so that he can live out his best life ever! What is Megaesophagus and how is it treated? Megaesophagus is a disorder in which the esophagus dilates and loses its ability to move food to the stomach. This causes the food to accumulate in the esophagus and can lead to regurgitation. Overall treatment involves managing the symptoms to help the food go down to digest. Jackson will need to be fed ALL his meals in a Bailey Chair (second photo) which gets him in an upright position about 45-90 degrees to the floor and will need to remain in the chair for at least 15 minutes after feeding. He already is great at getting in his chair and staying in it to eat! Amori means love, and this girl is all about LOVE, cuddles, belly rubs, and holding your hand. Did we mention she loves to be pet? Can’t walk by without her offering her exquisite pink belly for your rubbing pleasure. Amori loves to zoom around the park playing with her friends which cover all sizes from teacup chihuahua to bull mastiff - but her best friends are a dachshund mix and English bull terrier mix. She’s definitely cat curious. When she walks by them in the neighborhood, she often stops and stares/sniffs. Sometimes she’ll try to make a move when they’re at a distance (prey drive) but then remembers and stops herself. She has excellent recall. Also knows her toys by name - Jimmy the one-legged sock monkey and Leo the lion. She can be a little shy but warms up quickly! Amori is crate/house trained, and great with kids of all ages! Sweet Sasha is around 3 years old and has the cutest floppy ears. She's very sweet towards women and kids, and needs a bit more time to warm up to men. She can be a bit shy and skittish at first, so plenty of decompression time is a must for her to feel comfortable. She is currently in boarding so let’s help Sasha find a foster or forever home where she can thrive!
