Story
Muñeca is a 1-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix weighing approximately 53 lbs who is ready for a fresh start with a patient, committed family. She was found as a stray and is still building confidence, but she continues to grow more social and comfortable each day. Muñeca is sweet-natured, good with children, and gets along well with other dogs. She may benefit from having a confident canine companion in the home, and a meet and greet is recommended for households with other dogs. Muñeca would not be a good match for a home with cats or other small animals. She is very smart and has already made great progress with leash walking. With consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement, she has all the potential to become a confident, well-mannered companion. Muñeca is spayed, microchipped, current on rabies and core vaccinations, and has tested heartworm positive. Thanks to Rockwall PAWS, her treatment is fully sponsored. Muñeca is a Diamond Dog as of 04/28/26 after 90 days in care, and her reduced adoption fee is $75. To apply to adopt Muñeca, please complete an application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ .  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. May 21, 2026, 7:52 pm

Story
Meet Dior – A Showstopper Ready for Her Forever Home Dior is a stunning 2-year-old Staffordshire Terrier/Husky mix weighing approximately 45 lbs who is ready to step into her next chapter. Recently surrendered through no fault of her own, Dior is now looking for a loving home where she can truly shine and be part of a family again. With a name like Dior, she certainly has the presence to match—but at heart, she's all about the simple things. Dior is affectionate, playful, and loves being close to her people. She enjoys snuggling in your lap, joining you on daily adventures, and being included in whatever you're doing. She has a fun, outgoing personality and brings a joyful energy wherever she goes. Dior does well with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship. A meet and greet is recommended for homes with existing pets to ensure a good fit. As she continues to settle in, staff will update her bio with any additional insights into her personality. Dior is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella vaccinations, and is heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $125. If you're looking for a beautiful, loving companion who will turn heads on walks and be your loyal partner at home, Dior may be the perfect match. Story
Meet Montana — a 2-year-old Shepherd mix weighing 56 lbs who is beginning his journey toward healing and a better life. Montana was surrendered when his previous owners were unable to properly care for him. At intake, he had a large laceration around his neck caused by a collar that had been too tight for far too long. He is currently receiving treatment and is already on the road to recovery — both physically and emotionally. Despite everything he's been through, Montana is a sweet soul who simply hasn't had the chance to learn what being a dog is all about. As he continues to decompress and gain confidence, we will update his bio with more details about his personality. For now, he is walking decently on a leash and will need a patient, loving family committed to helping him heal and discover the good life he deserves. Montana is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccine, and boosters are up to date. He is heartworm positive, but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, his treatment is sponsored so he can get back to living a healthy life as soon as possible. Due to his condition at intake, we have not paired Montana with other dogs yet. If you have dogs in the home, a meet and greet will be required prior to adoption to ensure a good match. Adoption fee: $125 If you are interested in adopting Montana, please complete an online adoption application: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
We adopted Dutchess on 4/26 from Dallas animal services. She is a very loving and sweet girl. We have 2 young kids that she gets along with great. She gets along very well with very active male dogs. The reason we’re having to rehome her is because she does not get along with dominant female dogs. We have a female pit bull who has been with us for years. She has never met a dog she does not get along with. But her and Dutchess cannot see eye to eye. Keeping them completely separated at all times I believe is doing both of them a disservice and is very unfair to both of them. Dutchess is a very good girl, we just cannot supervise her 24/7 with our other female dog. We love her dearly, but want her to have a full life where she has free rein to roam the house without feeling restricted.

Story
Meet Oso! Oso is a 2-year-old male Chow Chow weighing 36 lbs who was found running at large in downtown Rockwall and sadly was never reclaimed. He is now available for adoption and ready to find a home that appreciates his unique and loyal personality. Oso embodies many of the classic Chow Chow traits — he's independent, observant, and forms strong bonds with his people. He may take a little time to get comfortable in new situations, but with calm, respectful introductions he warms up quickly and becomes a devoted companion. Oso does well with other dogs when introductions are taken slowly, and he is also good with people who allow him time to settle in at his own pace. Because Oso thrives in a calmer environment and prefers a more predictable routine, he is best suited for a home with older teens or adults. Once comfortable, he enjoys being near his people and will make a loyal, steady companion. Oso is currently living in a foster home, and he has already made himself quite comfortable in a home environment Oso is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination, basic boosters are up to date, and he is heartworm negative. Adoption fee: $125 To apply to adopt Oso, please complete an online adoption application: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
Meet Miss Josey Joe - The Ultimate Cat-Loving Canine with a Heart of Gold Say hello to Josey, a beautiful 2-year-old Shepherd/Akita mix weighing about 57 lbs, with the cutest ears and the softest soul. She was found near Windjammer Lane at the Harbor in Rockwall and is now living in a wonderful foster home while she waits for her forever family to find her. Josey is a gentle, sweet girl who may be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, her loving personality shines. She is house trained, crate trained, and an absolute superstar with other animals. Dogs? Loves them. Cats? Total fan. She's the kind of pup who truly enjoys the company of furry friends and would be happiest in a home with at least one canine buddy to help her feel confident and settled. Because of her calm and sensitive nature, Josey would do best in a quieter home with children ages 6 and up who can respect her gentle personality. She's the type of dog who will quietly follow you around, curl up nearby, and offer steady companionship rather than wild antics. Josey is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her rabies and booster vaccinations, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee covers all of her medical care and, of course, comes with a lifetime supply of loyalty, sweetness, and soft tail wags. If you're looking for a dog who is as wonderful with cats as she is with dogs, and who will blossom into a devoted family member, Miss Josey Joe might be your perfect match. Apply to adopt Josey here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
