Story
Miko was abandoned by people that moved out of a home and the new owners wanted to re-home him. We took him in because we didn't want him to go to a shelter, but he doesn't do well with our little ones. He is very energetic, playful, and loving. Loves other dogs and is neutered. He is house trained and chipped as well. I hope we can find the right home for him.

Story
Meet Lainey! Lainey's story has not been an easy one, but she is ready for a new beginning. She was surrendered due to her owner not being able to care for her anymore. Lainey is an approximately 2 year old female Husky mix weighing 45 pounds is now looking for a patient, understanding home where she can finally feel safe and secure. Lainey is shy at first but has a very sweet nature once she begins to warm up. She is still learning how to navigate the world and will need an experienced dog owner who can provide guidance, structure, and patience in order to build her confidence and learns how to simply be a dog again. She will benefit from continued leash training and positive reinforcement to help her thrive. Lainey does well with other dogs but has not lived with cats or children. If you currently have another pet in the home, a meet and greet is suggested prior to adoption to help ensure a good fit for everyone. Her adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, current on her basic annual boosters, and heartworm negative. If you are ready to give Lainey the time, patience, and care she deserves, please apply online: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. Story
Meet Montana — a 2-year-old Shepherd mix weighing 56 lbs who is beginning his journey toward healing and a better life. Montana was surrendered when his previous owners were unable to properly care for him. At intake, he had a large laceration around his neck caused by a collar that had been too tight for far too long. He is currently receiving treatment and is already on the road to recovery — both physically and emotionally. Despite everything he's been through, Montana is a sweet soul who simply hasn't had the chance to learn what being a dog is all about. As he continues to decompress and gain confidence, we will update his bio with more details about his personality. For now, he is walking decently on a leash and will need a patient, loving family committed to helping him heal and discover the good life he deserves. Montana is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccine, and boosters are up to date. He is heartworm positive, but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, his treatment is sponsored so he can get back to living a healthy life as soon as possible. Due to his condition at intake, we have not paired Montana with other dogs yet. If you have dogs in the home, a meet and greet will be required prior to adoption to ensure a good match. Adoption fee: $125 If you are interested in adopting Montana, please complete an online adoption application: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Surrendered through no fault of her own, Dior is looking for a loving home where she can truly shine and be part of a family again. With a name like Dior, she certainly has the presence to match—but at heart, she's all about the simple things. Dior is affectionate, playful, and loves being close to her people. She enjoys snuggling in your lap, joining you on daily adventures, and being included in whatever you're doing. She has a fun, outgoing personality and brings a joyful energy wherever she goes. Story
Muñeca is a 1-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix weighing approximately 53 lbs who is ready for a fresh start with a patient, committed family. She was found as a stray and is still building confidence, but she continues to grow more social and comfortable each day. Muñeca is sweet-natured, good with children, and gets along well with other dogs. She may benefit from having a confident canine companion in the home, and a meet and greet is recommended for households with other dogs. Muñeca would not be a good match for a home with cats or other small animals. She is very smart and has already made great progress with leash walking. With consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement, she has all the potential to become a confident, well-mannered companion. Muñeca is spayed, microchipped, current on rabies and core vaccinations, and has tested heartworm positive. Thanks to Rockwall PAWS, her treatment is fully sponsored. Muñeca is a Diamond Dog as of 04/28/26 after 90 days in care, and her reduced adoption fee is $75. Story
Saphira is a beautiful Siberian Husky with a gentle and loving personality. She can be a little timid at first, especially around males, and usually needs a little time to warm up to new people. Once she feels comfortable and safe, though, she becomes incredibly affectionate and loves attention from her trusted humans. She has been with us her full life but our oldest son has severe allergies and we are expecting our second child soon and have to put their health and wellbeing first. She does well with other dogs and would make an excellent companion or second dog in the right home. Saphira tends to avoid small children and would likely do best in a calmer environment where she can feel relaxed and secure. She absolutely loves going for walks, car rides, and spending time with her people once she bonds with them. Saphira is loyal, sweet, and has so much love to give to someone willing to give her a little patience and understanding.

Story
Bao is a 12-month-old cream Chow Chow with a calm, loyal, and affectionate personality once he builds trust with his people. He is crate trained, potty trained, knows basic commands, walks well on a leash, and enjoys long walks, bird watching from the window, brushing sessions, belly rubs (when he asks for them), and plenty of treats. Around his family, Bao is gentle, quiet, and loves to relax nearby while still enjoying his independent Chow nature.I am looking for an experienced Chow Chow owner who truly understands the breed’s unique temperament, independence, and need for patience and structure. A home without children is strongly preferred, as Bao thrives in a calm, predictable environment. He would do best with someone who can continue building his confidence through positive reinforcement and provide the routine, love, and breed-specific knowledge he deserves. Bao is an incredible companion for the right person and has so much love to give once he forms a bond.

Story
Meet Oso! Oso is a 2-year-old male Chow Chow weighing 36 lbs who was found running at large in downtown Rockwall and sadly was never reclaimed. He is now available for adoption and ready to find a home that appreciates his unique and loyal personality. Oso embodies many of the classic Chow Chow traits — he's independent, observant, and forms strong bonds with his people. He may take a little time to get comfortable in new situations, but with calm, respectful introductions he warms up quickly and becomes a devoted companion. Oso does well with other dogs when introductions are taken slowly, and he is also good with people who allow him time to settle in at his own pace. Because Oso thrives in a calmer environment and prefers a more predictable routine, he is best suited for a home with older teens or adults. Once comfortable, he enjoys being near his people and will make a loyal, steady companion. Oso is currently living in a foster home, and he has already made himself quite comfortable in a home environment Oso is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination, basic boosters are up to date, and he is heartworm negative. Adoption fee: $125 To apply to adopt Oso, please complete an online adoption application: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption.
