Story
✨Meet Nacho!✨ Nacho pulled as part of “Angel Retreat’s ACCT’s of love” program. Nacho was originally brought into a shelter in Philadelphia after being surrendered by his previous family due to his declining health. This shelter is the only open intake shelter for the entire city, and is extremely underfunded and overcrowded, they provide low cost veterinary resources to try to keep animals in their homes and out of the shelter system. Nacho tested positive for Parvo was time stamped for euthanasia. We gladly stepped up, and gave Nacho all the medical care he desperately needed. Along with a lot of love and supportive care Nacho now has fully recovered and is ready for a home of his own! Nacho is a 9 month old Pug/Chihuahua (Chug) mixed breed who is full of happiness for his second chance at life! Nacho is a young and happy puppy that will require a family up to the task of providing him the ample physical and mental exercise and training that all dogs require. Nacho would do best in a home without cats. If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org 💕🐾

Our Puppy Adoption Policy & Senior Adopters We absolutely adopt to seniors and value them deeply in our rescue community. In fact, we encourage adopters age 70 and older to consider adult dogs (5+ years) — they often form the most beautiful, well-matched partnerships and truly thrive together. Why not puppies? Puppies require many years of intensive care, including:Daily training and socializationSignificant physical activityOngoing veterinary careLong-term contingency planning for the next 15+ years Because of these lifetime needs, we place puppies only in homes where long-term stability and planning can be confidently met. For this reason, we do not place puppies with adopters over the age of 70.This policy exists solely to protect the lifelong welfare and stability of the dog — never to diminish the value or capability of senior adopters. Disclaimer:Adoption decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and reflect the rescue’s mission to act in the best interest of each animal. Policies are not intended to be discriminatory and are applied solely to ensure lifelong placement and welfare of the dog.We do not allow electric fences/halo collars, runners/tethers or doggy doors ##2616225##

Story
Paloma! Paloma is a petite dark brindle female pug, approximately 1-1.5 years old. She was surrendered just before Christmas, after her original owner died suddenly. She is very friendly, happy, and BUSY! Like all pugs, she loves everyone & everything 2- and 4-legged, of all ages & sizes. She is a parkour expert, but give her enough to occupy her on the ground & she is less prone to jump/climb & explore. A little bit of a diva, if she doesn’t get what she wants, when she wants it (particularly her meal or to be let out of her crate when she has finished eating), she will serenade you with pug screams, the song of her people! Housebreaking was an unknown entity to Paloma before she came into foster, so it is a work in progress. This little girl will steal your heart with her toothy grin & welcoming full body wriggles. Put in your application now at God’s Dogs Rescue to make Paloma part of your family. Attributes: Housebreaking in progress A busy, active dog Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $600 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Derek the devious 🤣 Meet Derek, a young adult male (approximately 1.5 years old) fawn pug. He has 2 resting faces: pouty or laughing. He is very loving, dog, cat, & all ages/sizes of humans friendly- true to his breed. Derek does not let architectural boundaries come between him & what he desires, be it the kitty kibble that was (🙄safely) secured behind three separate 3-4 ft baby gates, or the recycling that had been sitting on the far recessed of the kitchen countertop. He uses amazing “sproing” & scramble abilities to reach his desired destination. Housebreaking is a work in progress, having been introduced to him when he was trapped & taken in as a stray right before Christmas. Pugs can be notoriously stubborn, but they do desire to please, so he is about 75% of the way there. Do you have room for this sweet, spunky guy in your home & life? Lots of love & laughter follow wherever he goes 💕 He is available for adoption through God’s Dogs Rescue. Hurry! He won’t last! My name is Skylar, and I’m a very happy girl who is going to be a big one! I was found walking along the highway all by myself, but thanks to a kind fellow rescuer, I’m now safe and ready for my forever home. I am a total cuddle bug and love spending time curled up in laps—yes, think I’m a lap dog! I’m sweet, affectionate, and love being close to my people. Skylar does great with dogs, cats, and kids, making her a wonderful fit for many types of families. She is crate trained and potty pad trained, and she’s learning what it means to be a loved family member. If you’re looking for a happy, loving girl with a big heart and lots of cuddles to give, Skylar might be your perfect match! Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $600 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Basement Babies - Coal Did you know that November 1st is a holiday? It is because it is my birthday and we will need to celebrate it every year!! I am one of 5 puppies who were born under a house to a little 13 pound chihuahua looking mama dog. It wasn’t really in a basement but it was a shelter from the cold and wind. Anyhow, mom was a wild child so we came to the rescue to learn to love people and have a home so we don’t have to walk on the wild side. Some of us look like perhaps mom or even dad had some pug in them, as we have some of the coloring or the shorter mugs of a pug. But all of us are 100% adorable! I am the largest pup of the litter and the one who is a beautiful caramel color. I am very sweet and love to chase my siblings up and down the hallway to the room where our buddy, Busy Boots hangs out. She is great to play with and loves us puppies very much! I will be on the small side, depending on what genetic size my rambler dad brought, but I should be under 15-20 pounds fully grown. I get my baby making bits removed on January 5, 2026 and then will be able to go to my forever home. Will that be with you? Anyhow, I won’t last long as I am adorable, if I do say so myself! Local Adoption fee in Texas is $350 Out of state adoption fee with transport and fuel surcharge is $600
