A Little Dog with a BIG Heart! At 26 pounds, Pumpkin may be a little girl with some pretty BIG ears, but her heart is even bigger! This adorable 2-year-old Pug/Chihuahua mix (our best guess) has been through more than any dog should ever have to endure. After her family moved and left her behind, Pumpkin and her puppies were found wandering the streets, searching for food and trying to survive. But despite everything she's been through, Pumpkin's sweet spirit has never faded. She has been an AMAZING momma to her babies and an even MORE amazing foster girl! Now, it's her turn to be someone's baby. Pumpkin is sweet, smart, affectionate, and full of personality! She gets along well with other dogs and would most likely do well with cats, too. She absolutely LOVES being petted, and if you're heading out for a drive, she'd be thrilled to ride shotgun right beside you! And just wait until you see her mealtime routine! This clever girl will SPIN and SIT before receiving her bowl of food. Talk about a smart cookie! She's eager to learn, loves attention, and is sure to bring so much joy and laughter to her forever home. He was found as a stray in Houston, injured after being hit by a car and taken to a highkill shelter. Pep’s Pals Rescue stepped in, got him the leg surgery he needed, and gave him a second chance at life.
