Story
Henry is a very sweet dog with a great personality. He loves dogs and children. He currently lives in harmony with 2 cats . He is housebroken and knows basic commands. He loves walks, water, car rides anything with his human. He loves his toys , plays fetch and tug a war. He is a great little watch dog too! I am heartbroken but unable to care for him the way he deserves. He needs a more active owner than I can be.

Story
Meet Lola! Loving little Lola is a 5-year-old pug weighing about 21 pounds, and she is full of personality and enthusiasm! This sweet girl has a big zest for life and would love a home that enjoys walks, playtime, and lots of interaction. She has plenty of energy and would make a great companion for someone who enjoys getting out for daily walks or even running or a home that has has a playful dog who can keep up with her. Lola is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her people. If you pick her up, be prepared for lots of happy wiggles and enthusiastic face kisses! She’s a silly, joyful little dog who brings a lot of fun wherever she goes. She enjoys chewing on bones and toys and will happily claim any she finds—sometimes even borrowing them from her foster sisters. Because of her playful spirit, Lola may do best either as the only dog soaking up all the attention, or with another energetic dog who enjoys playtime as much as she does. Lola sleeps very well in her crate at night in her own room and is comfortable resting in a crate or playpen during the day when needed. She is currently working on her house-training and making progress, but she will need an adopter who is patient and willing to continue helping her to with her potty habits. This wiggly girl may not have mastered jumping up on the couch yet like some dogs, but what she lacks in agility she more than makes up for in charm and personality! Lola has recently been spayed and will be ready for adoption once she has completed her post-surgery recovery period. In the meantime, we are accepting applications so we can find the perfect match for her! If you’re looking for a lively, affectionate little companion who will keep you smiling and moving, Lola might just be your girl. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Layla is a shy, gentle dog who will need a patient family willing to earn her trust and work with her at her own pace. She would thrive with another small dog in the home and needs a securely fenced yard to explore safely. Layla is good with cats but is not recommended for a home with young children. With time, love, and consistency, she will blossom into a loyal and loving companion. REQUIREMENTS: Another small dog,  Fenced Yard Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
