Story
ANGIE & SMOOCHIES we're recently retired from a life of breeding on an Amish farm. They are super, super friendly. They love children as the kids were their caretakers. Great with other animals – dogs, cats and are familiar at least with dairy cows and horses. Smoochies And Angie are seven years old - Unrelated, but have lived most of their lives together and are attached. We realize it's difficult one dog who has never lived in a house before and two maybe overwhelming but, if it all possible, we would love to keep these two together. They are not housebroken. They had a bad case of intestinal worms when they came in but now that is under control, they are making some progress. Both have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped And tested negative for heartworm and tick borne diseases. As with most pugs, they have crappy teeth and will need a dental in the future. Adoption $250 for an individual Pug, $400 if you are the angel who can take a pair. Please fill out our adoption application at www.Companimals.org. Pug or puppy mill dog experience a plus. Home visit will be a part of the adoption process. Excellent Vet references a must.November 17, 2024, 7:00 pm

Story
Coco is being fostered in PA and has some vision. Coco is a very, very sweet girl whose favorite pastime is napping. She loves being scratched just about anywhere by her human and is a very go-with-the-flow girl, being great with people of all ages. She is wonderful with other dogs and cats if they do not get right in her face. Even then, she'll just give them a sharp bark to try to get them to leave. Her high-strung, young, maltipoo foster brother is NOT her favorite at all. She is a champion sleeper and often needs to be awakened to eat her breakfast and dinner. She will not indicate a need to go outside but is very aware that outside means "potty time" and she gets right down to business. She has trimmed down quite a bit and should still lose a few pounds, but she is moving much better since losing the 7 pounds she has. She loves being outside to sniff around and to just sit and sniff. She is not a fan of leash walks and will simply sit after a couple minutes. If you are looking for a sweet, well-behaved couch potato, Coco is definitely your girl! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Maggie is about a year-old pug/Jack Russel mix with the brains of a pug (zero) and the energy of a Jack Russel (infinite). She is crate trained and house trained. Maggie does well with cats and absolutely loves other dogs; essentially, she will be friends with any creature that might play with her. Maggie loves any activity that allows her to show off her boundless energy: she’ll play tug or fetch until your arm falls off, she’ll go on long walks (she especially loves being on a trail), or she’ll just use the yard to get her zoomies out. As much as she loves to romp, Maggie is equally at home cuddling up on the couch, either with her humans or her dog friends—or both! She also loves a good sun spot outside, chewing on sticks, and showing off her ridiculous underbite. While she would be an excellent match for children’s energy, she can be a bit mouthy when going for toys, so she should be monitored around very young children.

Story
Hi, I`m Susie! Sadly my previous owner passed away, so I was surrendered to the shelter with my friend Rosie. I am an older gal, and quite overweight, so my lifestyle needs to change in order for me to be around as long as possible. I am a very sweet and easygoing pup, and I used to live with a number of dogs, so I would likely enjoy having canine companionship again. I am not sure how I feel about cats but may do well with proper introduction. I have been in a home all my life and I just want somewhere comfortable to spend my golden years. Would you consider adopting me?---If you are interested in adopting, you must complete an application and make an appointment, as I am IN FOSTER CARE. Completed apps includes a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org
