Story
This handsome pug mix is the definition of low-key living. Quiet by nature and endlessly chill, Hugo is perfectly content to nap his way from morning to afternoon to evening without much fuss. If you’re looking for a calm, steady companion instead of a party animal, Hugo is your guy. Loud noises and chaos? Not really his vibe. Hugo has done wonderfully in a peaceful home where he can enjoy the steady presence of his favorite people nearby. He doesn’t ask for much — just a cozy spot to snooze and a calm environment to feel safe. He’s happy entertaining himself with plushy toys and even a pillow or two (interior decorating, but make it pug). And while he may be mellow, there is one thing that absolutely melts him…Belly rubs. They are his weakness, his love language, his everything. If your home leans more “quiet coffee mornings” than “wild dance party,” Hugo might just be your perfect match.

Story
Kelvin (aka "Cowboy Kelvin" or "Kelvey") is a sweet and playful Chug (a Chihuahua-Pug mix). He is around 8 years old with a tan body and little bit of frosty face. Crate-trained and a wonderful commute copilot, he’s ready to join a loving, single-dog home where he can be your devoted adventure buddy and couch companion. Kelvin is completing heartworm treatment and needs to remain on crate rest for 4 weeks after adoption. He is looking for an adopter who can continue his follow-up care and bring him to get neutered when all healthy! If you are looking for a faithful friend who’s up for road trips and cozy evenings, consider Cowboy Kelvin! Our Editors notes : he really calms down when he chews on bones 🦴 and we do actually believe he could handle another dog in a house , perhaps another pug.

Story
Snookie is a 10 yr old black pug mix who has found herself needing a new home. She was rescued from the Richmond SPCA about 5/6 years ago after her owners had passed and unfortunately, has found herself in the same situation. She is spayed, UTD on shots and currently on Heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick medication. She is a total love bug who impatiently waits for you to sit down on the couch or chair so she can snuggle up as close as possible for some back rubs. She loves to sleep in the bed with you as well and prefers to be under the covers. Car rides and short walks are a fav and she does very well on a leash. She is house trained, crate trained, and her foster mom is currently working on helping her lose a few pounds to make life easier on her.

They often balance playful bursts of energy with deep devotion to their families. With proper exercise and engagement, they make wonderful companions who thrive on both activity and closeness — and Brody is no exception. Brody’s Story & Personality: Brody is full of quirky charm and loving energy. He gets fun little pockets of high energy and will absolutely need regular exercise to keep him happy and balanced. A securely fenced yard or an adopter committed to long daily walks is important for him. He walks well on a leash and truly enjoys getting out and exploring. He has a dominant play style and does well with dogs, but he will thrive with structure and plenty of outlets for his energy. While experience with the Boston Terrier breed is helpful, it is not required — just an understanding that he’s an active boy who needs both mental and physical stimulation. Brody is extremely food motivated (which makes training fun!) and absolutely adores his people. Whether he’s curled up on your lap while you work, resting at your feet, or snuggled in bed at night, he wants to be touching or near you whenever possible. He loves car rides, sleeps wonderfully through the night, and truly shines as a companion dog. Brody’s Ideal Home: A securely fenced yard or commitment to long daily walks The only dog in the home so he can have all the attention he deserves An active household that can provide plenty of exercise A family comfortable with a dominant play style Someone who enjoys a dog that wants constant closeness A home ready for both energetic bursts and cozy lap time Ready for a Loyal Sidekick with a Fun Streak? Brody brings the perfect mix of spunky energy and devoted affection. If you’re looking for a playful, quirky companion who will happily join you for walks and then curl up by your side, Brody is ready to meet you.
