Story
Rio was a rescue, found at about 4 months old, alone. Soon after, she broke her hind leg after jumping on a tile floor, fixed with surgery. Due to this timeline, we missed a critical opportunity to train her well. She is very sweet and friendly, knows basic commands. She does have poor recall, so she has to be leashed at all times when outside. Despite her injury, she is really fast and loves playing with other dogs. However, she definitely needs to be in a home with another dog to use up the energy. We used to have a large fenced in yard where she was really happy.

Location: Franklin, OH Food: Fromm Pork and Applesauce recipe Medication: HeartGard, NexGard, Tacrolimus eye drops, Optixcare eye lube plus Meet Bueller, a beautiful 5-year-old English bulldog who has overcome a lot and is finally ready to find his forever family! Bueller came into rescue the day after Thanksgiving and was quickly diagnosed with heartworm disease. He immediately began treatment, which lasted three months and required strict crate rest. During that time, he was also diagnosed with dry eye and will need special eye drops to keep his eyes comfortable. As soon as he completed his heartworm treatment, Bueller was able to get his "bulldog special" - neuter surgery along with nares and palate surgery - to help him breathe easier. Now that he's recovered, he's feeling great and ready to start the next chapter in his life! Bueller does well with other dogs and cats. Loud noises and sudden movements can startle him a bit, but he is slowly learning that the outside world isn't so scary. Once he is in the car, he doesn't mind riding along, and he walks nicely on a leash. He is crate trained and mostly house trained. If you are looking for a laid-back companion who just wants to relax and be by your side, Bueller might be the perfect match for you! Location: Centerville, OH Food: Royal Canin GI multifunction Hydrolyzed Medication: NexGard Plus Harvey is a three year, 9 month old bully who is pretty laid back and loves everyone. He is a touch underweight and could use a couple extra snackos until he puts on a few pounds. We have been feeding him just a bit extra each meal to slowly get him where he needs to be. Harvey loves a good walk and does really well with almost no pulling at all. He gets along with all the dogs in our house and even ignores our house rabbit. He is a super happy guy. In fact, he is so happy that he has missing hair on his tail from wagging it so hard against the bars of his crate. He is crate trained and potty trained with his only accidents the first couple days here (different environment and schedule so to be expected). He would be good as a single dog or with a dog sibling or two. Due to his size and energy I’d recommend older children who are not easily knocked over by a bigger dog. He really is a happy go lucky guy who wants to be by your side and see what you are doing at all times. Location: Hamilton, OH Food: Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Medication: NexGard Plus Meet Charlee A silly, sweet 2 year old exotic bully looking for her forever home. She was brought in as a stray in rough shape with mange and very skinny, but she has come a long way and is ready for a fresh start. Charlee is incredibly adaptable and takes new experiences in stride. She handles bath, blow dry and nail trims like a champ. She has also done well with coexisting with two cats. She may chase them out of curiosity and playfulness but never shown any aggression whatsoever. She is a smart, food motivated girl who is eager to learn. Charlee could use some help polishing her manners but with consistency and guidance she will thrive. She can be a bit pushy at times and sometimes thinks hands are bringing treats so she may try to nibble. She responds well with redirection and is already showing how trainable she can be. Charlee loves to play and would do best with plenty of exercise and enrichment. She may enjoy being an only pet with lots of attention, or having a larger dog sibling who can match her playful energy. When playtime is over she is happy to snuggle up on the couch or join you for a nice walk. Charlee is truly such a good girl and she’s going to make someone very happy.
