Story
Rio was a rescue, found at about 4 months old, alone. Soon after, she broke her hind leg after jumping on a tile floor, fixed with surgery. Due to this timeline, we missed a critical opportunity to train her well. She is very sweet and friendly, knows basic commands. She does have poor recall, so she has to be leashed at all times when outside. Despite her injury, she is really fast and loves playing with other dogs. However, she definitely needs to be in a home with another dog to use up the energy. We used to have a large fenced in yard where she was really happy.

Hi there, I'm Vernon! I am a super snuggly sweetheart. I have the the softest, rabbit-like fur you’ll ever touch. I'm a bulldog mix with the cutest underbite, really, I'm a total cuddlebug and love nothing more than curling up close for a nap—or playing joyfully with other dogs. Before rescue, I was surviving as a stray on the streets for months, too scared to trust despite many kindhearted attempts. When I finally decided it was okay to trust and taken in, I had some serious wounds from life outside — I got some TLC, antibiotics, and love. But that is all behind me now and my foster says I've healed beautifully, both inside and out. I have been told that I can have a very serious look but I am gentle, affectionate, and ready to bond deeply with a forever family. While I haven't met cats yet, I am at my best and confident when I am with other dogs and would thrive in a home with canine companions or loving humans who adore snuggles. Now that my rough days are behind me, I'm ready for a soft bed, full belly, and lots of love—maybe with you? Bueller came into rescue the day after Thanksgiving and was quickly diagnosed with heartworm disease. He immediately began treatment, which lasted three months and required strict crate rest. During that time, he was also diagnosed with dry eye and will need special eye drops to keep his eyes comfortable. As soon as he completed his heartworm treatment, Bueller was able to get his "bulldog special" - neuter surgery along with nares and palate surgery - to help him breathe easier. Now that he's recovered, he's feeling great and ready to start the next chapter in his life! Bueller does well with other dogs and cats. Loud noises and sudden movements can startle him a bit, but he is slowly learning that the outside world isn't so scary. Once he is in the car, he doesn't mind riding along, and he walks nicely on a leash. He is crate trained and mostly house trained. If you are looking for a laid-back companion who just wants to relax and be by your side, Bueller might be the perfect match for you! Location: Centerville, OH Food: Royal Canin GI multifunction Hydrolyzed Medication: NexGard Plus Harvey is a three year, 9 month old bully who is pretty laid back and loves everyone. He is a touch underweight and could use a couple extra snackos until he puts on a few pounds. We have been feeding him just a bit extra each meal to slowly get him where he needs to be. Harvey loves a good walk and does really well with almost no pulling at all. He gets along with all the dogs in our house and even ignores our house rabbit. He is a super happy guy. In fact, he is so happy that he has missing hair on his tail from wagging it so hard against the bars of his crate. He is crate trained and potty trained with his only accidents the first couple days here (different environment and schedule so to be expected). He would be good as a single dog or with a dog sibling or two. Due to his size and energy I’d recommend older children who are not easily knocked over by a bigger dog. He really is a happy go lucky guy who wants to be by your side and see what you are doing at all times.
