We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Meet Baby! Baby was found as a stray 2 weeks ago. She had been wandering around a trailer park for 2 weeks prior to being rescued, and none of the residents seemed to know where she came from. She is a WONDERFUL little girl! Very well behaved with other dogs, even old grumpy ones. She has a very sweet, outgoing personality. She likes to play with a toy for a little while but enjoys cuddling as well. She is housetrained and crate trained. She is as perfect as they come! Dont miss out on this little sweet baby!Baby is located in Arkansas. She can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs. Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families. We have many sponsorship dogs. Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :) So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue. Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding. Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Layla is a shy, gentle dog who will need a patient family willing to earn her trust and work with her at her own pace. She would thrive with another small dog in the home and needs a securely fenced yard to explore safely. Layla is good with cats but is not recommended for a home with young children. With time, love, and consistency, she will blossom into a loyal and loving companion.
