You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!Well hellloww world Alvin here.  I'm here with my sissy Ava.  We came from down south and now mom says we are northern implants not sure what that means but ok I'm learning new stuff every day.  We have lots of friends here at the ranch.  We have doxi friends that are a little older than us and mom says to not bark like they do its 'annoying' I'm not sure why she thinks that but I tried it and I thought it was rather fun so we do it when moms not in the room but somehow she always knows and she comes out of her office and gives us 'the look' hmmmm I wonder how she knows??!!!Ava is my bestest friend and we would LOVE to stick together.  Mom says she will find us a furever home with a fenced yard so we can run and play like we do here!  We aren't 'fixed' yet so mom says as soon as we are old enough to have that done we will be ready for our new home.  I didn't know we was broken but I guess I just gotta trust the lady....  I thought maybe we could stay here but she says we will get a home where we can be the center of someones world.  Humans talk funny I have NO clue what that even means!  If you want to meet us fill out an application on 2ndChance4LifeRescue.org site NOT petfinder or anywhere else and we will check it out.  If we think you might be 'our person' we will be in touch for a date :)REQUIRES A FENCED YARDVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!June 17, 2024, 6:57 pm

Story
Meet Iris!!! This sweet little Bugg (Pug/Boston Terrier) was one of the babies we recently assisted with removing from a hoarding situation. She is 3 months old and full of love to give and a little bit of sass. This sweet little girl absolutely loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home. She loves to run around the fenced in yard with them and to explore her new surroundings. When she isn't playing with the other dogs you will find her in one of a few spots. Chewing on a toy, snuggling with another dog in her bed or laying with her foster mama. She is so full of life and loving every minute of it. Iris is crate trained and will bark for a little before settling down. She has been doing amazing walking on a leash. And she has been doing really well with potty training, she still does have accidents so her new family will need to continue to work with her. She is UTD on vaccinations, on preventatives and microchipped. Due to her age she is not currently altered and will be adopted out on a spay contract. The contract does have an additional fee that is fully refundable when proof of her being altered is provided. Iris would love a home with another friendly pup and a fenced in yard but these are not deal breakers. She really wants someone to give her lots and lots of love. If interested in adding this adorable little girl to your family, please apply! www.zoeshouserescue.com Zoe's House Kennel #9117 Sinking Spring, PA 19608

Story
Meet Amaryllis! I am an 11 week old female Jug that came to Zoe's House last month with A LOT of other buddies. I didn't come from the best situation but my life has turned around quickly! Since being with my foster family, I have had lots of exposure to new things. I have been around adults, teens and elementary age kiddos and let me tell you- I LOVE everyone I meet! I have met cats, kittens, dogs- both larger than myself and small- and I also love all of them! Although, I am still learning that kittens don't quite play the same as I do. When I get tired of playing I am quite the cuddler and love bug! Remember I am still a puppy so I am working on potty and crate training- this is something my new family will need to continue to work on with me. I am a very smart girl and am learning to sit. I am treat motivated so I am sure that with your help I will be able to learn more commands. Most of my time with my foster family I have had a foster sibling and I love having a friend. I love to play and pal around. Even though I am small, I am pretty sure I am a big dog. I am lonely when I don't have a friend so my foster family says that a home with another dog would be preferred. Amaryllis is UTD on vaccines and preventatives. There will be a $250 deposit with contract to have her spayed at the appropriate time, once proof is received, deposit will be returned. If you think I would be a good fit for you, fill out an application today at www.zoeshouserescue.com I am so excited to find my forever home where I am able to grow and bloom into my best self! Story
Daisy is a sweet playful 7 yr old, 20 lb Chug. She loves being outdoors. She was surrendered to rescue due to her medical issue. Daisy has degenerative disk disease & a pinched nerve in her neck. It typically does not bother her. If she plays to hard, she may feel a little sore and need to rest. She may need pain meds on occasion. No surgery or further treatment is required. She has done well with the other dogs, cat & ducks in rescue. No young kids due to her condition. She is slightly high energy & loves attention. Please tell us about your household if interested. Thank you!
