Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Layla is a shy, gentle dog who will need a patient family willing to earn her trust and work with her at her own pace. She would thrive with another small dog in the home and needs a securely fenced yard to explore safely. Layla is good with cats but is not recommended for a home with young children. With time, love, and consistency, she will blossom into a loyal and loving companion. REQUIREMENTS: Another small dog,  Fenced Yard Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Story
Auggie is an older lady who came into our care at no fault of her own. She has been a very pleasant house guest who walked in as if she has lived here forever. She gets along great with the resident dogs and cat, is potty trained, and enjoys eating. Auggie still has plenty of pep in her step and loves a good play session. We would like to see Auggie adopted by a family with pug experience and to have older children in the home due to her size and age. 1. Review our adoption contract and application. 2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling. 3. Complete adoption application and submit following appropriate link below: Dog/Puppy: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Dog Cat/kitten: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Cat It takes us about 1-3 days to process applications. Once approved, we ask that all members of the household (including dogs) be available for meeting the animal within 3 days. If the meeting goes well, you will submit payment electronically and be able to take your new family member home with you immediately! If for whatever reason you do not take the animal home after the first meeting, please understand that we will continue to process applications for the animal and availability is not guaranteed. 4. Story
🌸 Meet Petunia! 🌸 If you're looking for a dog with a big personality packed into a tiny body, Petunia is your girl! This adorable pug is full of life, loves to play, and wants to be wherever her people are. She's happiest when she's getting attention and is always ready for the next adventure. Petunia would thrive in an active home, especially one with kids or a family that enjoys playing and keeping her busy. Dinner time is her favorite part of the day (and she'll happily remind you when it's time!), and when she's excited, she does the cutest little spins in circles that will have you smiling every time. She's doing well with potty training and runs right to the door when she needs to go outside. A fenced yard would be ideal so she can zoom around and burn off some energy, but with continued training, she should also make a great walking buddy on a leash. Like many happy, enthusiastic pups, Petunia is still polishing her manners. She loves being close to her people, which means she sometimes ends up under your feet, and she occasionally jumps up to say hello. With a little patience and consistency, she'll continue to blossom into an amazing companion. If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate little shadow who will keep you laughing and fill your home with joy, Petunia is ready to steal your heart! 💗🐾 Petunia is being fostered in Schuylkill County please be prepared to travel to meet her. ✨ Petunia is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and officially cleared for adoption through Zoe's House Rescue! Visit zoeshouserescue.com to apply today. Kennel License #9117 🐾

Story
Cuteness overload warning!! Have you ever seen puppies as cute as these babies? Born May 3rd – Adin, Calix and Enver are part shihtzu, pug and dachshund mix. All 3 of these adorable pups are males and weigh approximately 3.5 lbs They were born in the South Texas area, along the Texas/Mexico border and were surrendered to us 2 weeks ago as the owners could no longer keep them. Adin, Calix and Enver are the happiest puppies! They LOVE to be around humans and please anyone they are around. They are super duper playful and get the cutest butt wiggles ever. Their butts go completely to the side when they’re excited. These 3 boys love their toys and, they love to cuddle and love just life itself. They are VERY well socialized and if someone breaks in, will do absolutely nothing to stop the burglars besides maybe wag their tails and ask for treats and pets. They are VERY foot motivated and love all food and treats passed their way. They are still just young babies so please understand they will need training, exercise (as much as their little bodies can handle), patience and lots of love and care to offer these innocent puppies. Any family would hit the jackpot to welcome one or two of these babies into your home. These puppies are current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. Please contact Marilyn at 856-275-6905 for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. July 19, 2026, 1:25 pm
