Story
Meet Count: Your Future Shadow and Playmate! Are you looking for a bundle of energy that is also a world-class snuggler? Count, a one-year-old active Chug (Chihuahua/Pug mix), is searching for his forever home and he might just be the perfect match for you! A Day in the Life of Count: Count is an energetic guy who thrives on activity. He absolutely loves his daily walks, chasing a ball in the yard, and he guarantees at least one session of infectious "zoomies" every single day! He'd be a great fit for someone who enjoys getting outside and playing. When it's time to wind down, Count transitions seamlessly into the perfect couch companion. He is a loyal little shadow, happiest when he is right by your side, soaking up some sun, or giving out his signature super-sweet kisses. He sleeps soundly through the night and dreams of a home where he might be allowed to snuggle under the covers with his new human. What Count Needs in a Home: Patience and Guidance: Because Count is still a playful pup learning his boundaries, he is crate-trained for when his humans are away. A family dedicated to positive reinforcement and teaching him what he can and can't chew will help him thrive. Playtime: He gets along great with other dogs and would love a home where he can continue to socialize and play! This affectionate, sweet boy has so much love to give and is ready to be your loyal best friend. This handsome chug boy, Count (aka count snortula) was pulled to safety last week. He is a year old, outgoing, smart, friendly and housetrained. He has the best smile, loves other dogs & people. This little guy is full of life! So happy friendly and good with all dogs. He is house trained, super smart and loves his toys. This guy is your perfect sidekick! All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
👑 Meet Baroness Beatrice Von Smushface 👑 (A title she absolutely earned after what she’s survived) Baroness is an English Bulldog-Pug mix. She is just precious. Baroness is potty trained, highly food motivated (as her waistline would indicate), loves toys and loves to cuddle even more! This 4.5-year-old overbred mama was found wandering as a stray dehydrated, with raw skin, sagging teats from back-to-back litters, and ears so infected we can’t even touch them. Her body tells the story overused, neglected, discarded. But to us, she’s royalty. From this day forward, Baroness Beatrice Von Smushface will only know love, safety, and high-end snuggles. Despite it all… She wags. She snorts. She smiles. She’s 33 pounds of grunty, low-to-the-ground love. Story
Meet Killua, an 11-year-old fawn gentleman with the gentlest soul and the biggest heart. This Velcro pug will follow you everywhere, he takes his “personal assistant” duties seriously! Killua is calm, affectionate, and adores being close to his people. He is house-trained (with the help of a belly band), crate-trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. He eats politely and patiently waits for others to finish, true gentleman manners! Killua isn’t into toys but loves a soft bed, a cozy spot by your side, and the occasional piece of cheese (his favorite treat). He can hop onto a couch but prefers staying at ground level. Killua gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would also do great as an only pug, as long as he has plenty of love and attention. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing senior who’ll warm your heart and your lap, Killua is your guy! ****** All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. We adopt to all lower 48 states, but adopters must travel to Texas for pickup. To learn more or apply, visit www.dfwpugs.com.

Story
Seven-year-old Peggy is a sweet, fawn beauty with a happy-go-lucky attitude and a heart full of love. This laid-back lady adores being around other dogs and is happiest when surrounded by furry friends and her people. She is the definition of “go-with-the-flow” — gentle, easygoing, and always ready for a good cuddle or a leisurely stroll. Peggy is house-trained, crate-trained, and uses a dog door like a pro. She’s polite at mealtime and not food aggressive, though she’ll happily supervise if someone else is getting a treat. She enjoys toys most when another pup shows interest — she’s a bit of a playful copycat! Peggy also gets along wonderfully with children, especially her foster’s young niece. She takes tacrolimus eye drops twice a day and moisture drops as needed, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. If you’re looking for a calm, joyful companion to brighten your home, Peggy’s your girl! ****** All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. Story
Seven-year-old Pokey is the ultimate Velcro pug — wherever you go, he’s right there, ready to be your loyal sidekick. This lovable 15-pound fawn boy is equal parts playful and affectionate. He enjoys zoomies and tug-of-war with his pug pals but is just as happy cuddling up with his favorite human when the day winds down. Pokey is completely house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and sleeps soundly in his crate at night. He’s a polite eater (though quick!) and loves taking all the toys out of the box to choose the perfect one for the moment. He gets along great with other dogs and is friendly with everyone he meets. Pokey uses daily eye drops and is blind in one eye, so he does best in well-lit spaces. He’d thrive in a loving home where his people are around often to shower him with attention. If you’re looking for a cheerful little shadow to adore you endlessly, Pokey’s your guy! ****** All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area.
