Story
Carina Dee is a sweet, happy, Pugalicious 1 year old little girl with a big love for life. Carinai had a rough start to life - living in a small apartment with 5 other dogs that were always barrelling over her. She didn't know what the outdoors was, what a yard was or how to walk on a leash. She's been working so hard to learn how to become a normal well adjusted dog. She adores toys, chew bones and exploring her yard, and - most of all - snuggling with her humans. A true cuddlebug, she is happiest curled up in your lap, showering you with kisses. Carina Dee is crate trained and will happily go to her crate when called, sleeping quietly through the night close to her foster mom. She is very proud of her outdoor potty progress, though her house training is still a work in progress. Affectionately known as "Sweet Dee", she will thrive as an only pup where she can soak up all the love, but she may also do well with another dog her size and similar age. If you are looking for a cuddly, fun, and devoted companion, Sweet Dee is your girl! Please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
My name is Ozzie, and I am a 1.5 years old. 16 lb Pug. Before I came to Humane Tomorrow, I was living with 5 other Pugs, all relatives of some kind, together in a house. We never went outside of the house, and I know now what a mess and how unhealthy that was. Now I am in a foster home, with other dogs, but we go outside into a yard, and my foster family has been teaching me what doggies are supposed to do. I’ve learned a lot in the last few months, but still have more to learn. I’m a little mouthy – using my mouth and teeth sometimes (just to play), but still probably not a good fit with young kids. I’ve discovered that I especially like to play tug with my people, but sometimes I get a little overstimulated when I play. So, just let me win and call the game! I get along well with the other dogs in the household most of the time, and have discovered I like to chew on nylabones. I like to sit with my people, cuddling with them and sometimes I like to get up high on the top of chairs so I get a view of everything around me. I am still getting used to this thing around my neck (collar) and walking on a leash, but I like it in my foster home with all the attention I’m getting. I am crate trained, but any new home will need to continue my house training. I’ve been wearing a belly band while I figure things out. If you are interested in me, please complete an application and one of the adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Pete is looking for a loving foster home where they can rest and recover while receiving medical treatment. Reason for Foster: Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) Foster Time Frame: Approximately 1 week(The foster timeframe may vary depending on recovery and any follow-up medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Pete is being treated for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. While recovering, they may have symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, and nasal/eye discharge. Because URI can be contagious to other dogs, we recommend keeping them separated from resident dogs until they have fully recovered. They will go home with medication and all the supplies needed for their care. Once treatment is complete, they will return to Operation Kindness for their spay/neuter surgery and adoption. How to take this pet home: Adopt: Pete is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows prospective adopters to take pets home before they are available for adoption. Visit Operation Kindness and speak with our Client Services team. Foster-to-Adopt placements are first-come, first-served. Foster: Interested in fostering this pet? Email foster@operationkindness.org.

Story
Meet Jay – Big Personality, Bigger Heart  Meet Jay, a bundle of joy who might be part pug, part Aussie—and 100% personality! This energetic boy loves his toys and takes his job of protecting the yard from bunnies, squirrels, birds, and even leaves very seriously. Jay doesn't want to miss anything so he will follow you everywhere. Jay is a zoomie pro and would love a home with another playful dog (no cats, please). He’s kennel trained but wouldn't be opposed to sleeping with his people—snoring included—and walks fairly well on a leash, though he pulls with excitement. He's a very playful boy! He’s great with dog-savvy kids but would do best in a home with older children since he can get a little zoomy. Jay is a sweet, loving boy who’s learning his manners and will make a wonderful companion for an active family. ##2353867##

Story
Nala was found as a small puppy roaming by herself. No one came looking for her after lots of effort. The finder was going to keep her but her older dog does not get along with her and doesn't want a puppy around. Nala is about 3 months old and weighs about 9 lbs. She is happy but is spending too much time in her playpen and we want to find her a forever home. She loves getting attention from the neighnorhood kids..well....any attention is good. Applications to foster or adopt are at codysfriendsrescue.org ##2755366##
