Story
True gentleman alert! “Where are all my ladies at?” 😉 Hi, I’m Bandit, a very handsome gentleman about 1 year old. The vet says I’m a solid dog (obviously). They think I might be a pug/Brussels griffon mix, maybe with a little bulldog — which explains why I’m a big boy with big charm. I’m not much of a barker… unless food is involved. Mealtime is serious business. I’ll spin in circles and bark just to make sure you don’t forget — and trust me, I never miss a meal. I love sleeping upside down, I snore loudly (you’re welcome), and I’m obsessed with my plush toys, which I carry around like babies. I’m a total people dog, super smart, learning commands, and already potty trained and crate trained. Looking for a loyal, funny, snuggly guy with personality for days, I am ready to be all yours! Loves hugs, belly rubs, and snuggles. Crate & potty trained, quiet, and oh-so-sweet! Seen running around a trailer park scared for a few weeks but no one could catch him. Finally caught and posted on lost and found and no one came for this adorable little guy. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Dixie has been loved all her life, adored and cared for. Her life and her owners took a drastic turn when her owner was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. Dixie is now in foster care. She is confused but delights everyone she meets with her gentle and sweet demeanor. She is crate and potty-trained and is ready for a stable, loving home. Story
Seven-year-old Peggy is a sweet, fawn beauty with a happy-go-lucky attitude and a heart full of love. This laid-back lady adores being around other dogs and is happiest when surrounded by furry friends and her people. She is the definition of “go-with-the-flow” — gentle, easygoing, and always ready for a good cuddle or a leisurely stroll. Peggy is house-trained, crate-trained, and uses a dog door like a pro. She’s polite at mealtime and not food aggressive, though she’ll happily supervise if someone else is getting a treat. She enjoys toys most when another pup shows interest — she’s a bit of a playful copycat! Peggy also gets along wonderfully with children, especially her foster’s young niece. She takes tacrolimus eye drops twice a day and moisture drops as needed, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. If you’re looking for a calm, joyful companion to brighten your home, Peggy’s your girl! ****** All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. We adopt to all lower 48 states, but adopters must travel to Texas for pickup. To learn more or apply, visit www.dfwpugs.com.

Story
Seven-year-old Pokey is the ultimate Velcro pug — wherever you go, he’s right there, ready to be your loyal sidekick. This lovable 15-pound fawn boy is equal parts playful and affectionate. He enjoys zoomies and tug-of-war with his pug pals but is just as happy cuddling up with his favorite human when the day winds down. Pokey is completely house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and sleeps soundly in his crate at night. He’s a polite eater (though quick!) and loves taking all the toys out of the box to choose the perfect one for the moment. He gets along great with other dogs and is friendly with everyone he meets. Pokey uses daily eye drops and is blind in one eye, so he does best in well-lit spaces. He’d thrive in a loving home where his people are around often to shower him with attention. If you’re looking for a cheerful little shadow to adore you endlessly, Pokey’s your guy! ****** All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. Story
Five-year-old Tic Tac is a charming, fawn winky pug with a heart as big as his bark! While he can be a little cautious at first, once he warms up, this Velcro pug loves nothing more than cuddling up next to his favorite person and showering them with kisses. Tic Tac enjoys toys, puzzle games, and snuffle mats—and occasionally shows off his silly side by proudly parading around with socks or shoes he’s “borrowed.” He is about 90% house-trained, crate-trained (though he’s not a fan of it), and walks well on a leash—just be sure his harness is snug because he’s been known to wiggle out when something’s caught his interest! Tic Tac gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats, but he’d prefer a home with a canine buddy and patient humans who understand he sees the world a little differently due to limited vision. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly companion with a goofy streak, Tic Tac is your guy! ****** All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area.
