I won, but got lost, and ended up here. I still have my superpower, and I'm ready to use it again. If you need a friend, a confidant, a cheerleader, I'm your guy. I'm mellow, friendly, and gentle. Story
👑 Meet Baroness Beatrice Von Smushface 👑 (A title she absolutely earned after what she’s survived) This 4.5-year-old overbred pug-bulldog mix was found wandering as a stray dehydrated, with raw skin, sagging teats from back-to-back litters, and ears so infected we can’t even touch them. Her ear canals are completely swollen shut. The damage is so severe she’ll need TECA surgery on both ears just to live without pain. Despite it all… She wags. She snorts. She smiles. We’re guessing she was dumped when she could no longer produce puppies. Her body tells the story overused, neglected, discarded. But to us, she’s royalty. From this day forward, Baroness Beatrice Von Smushface will only know love, safety, and high-end snuggles. She’s 33 pounds of grunty, low-to-the-ground love. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Two-year-old Hotrod is an active, lighthearted and happy boy who loves spending time with his pack, playing chase, going for walks, chewing on toys, taking car rides, and cuddling up by to his people. Hotrod’s favorite hobbies include chowing down at mealtime from his slow feeder bowl and chewing on bones and bully sticks. According to his foster mom, Hotrod is a champion high jumper, even able to jump over baby gates! Hotrod is house-trained, great with dogs and cats, and walks well on a leash. He is crate-trained and will sleep in a crate; however, he prefers to be near his people or with the other pugs in his foster home. At night, he goes to bed with his foster pug siblings, sleeping soundly from 10pm to 7am. Hotrod has medication for back pain; although his foster mom hasn’t seen his back bother him, a scan at the veterinary clinic revealed he may have back pain. Due to his jumping abilities, Hotrod’s ideal home will have a tall, fenced yard with at least one other friendly, canine playmate, or if he will be solo, have at least one person home most of the time to play and help him get plenty of exercise. If you are looking for a happy-go-lucky, social butterfly, Hotrod might be for you! Apply at dfwpugs.com. * All of our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. We adopt to all lower 48 states, but adopters must travel to Texas for pickup. Visit our website to learn more or apply: www.dfwpugs.com.

Story
fter spending most of her life outside in Mexico and having her medical needs neglected, five-year-old Harper is now showing her cuddly, affectionate, and silly side! Her former medical issues, including pelvic fractures and a hernia, have now healed and she is enjoying a more active lifestyle. Harper’s favorite activities include playing with her blankets and bedding, snuggling with her stuffed elephant, following her foster mom and foster pug siblings around the house, running and jumping, chasing small wildlife in the yard, going for walks, and sleeping in bed with her foster mom at night. She is making great progress with her housetraining and crate training. With her challenging former life in mind, Harper’s forever family will provide her with love, care, and reassurance, help her build her confidence, and understand that she gets skittish around loud noises. Having another friendly and confident dog in the home may help her to come out of her shell and adapt to her new life. If you’d like to give this loving girl a fresh start, apply for her at dfwpugs.com! * All of our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. Story
Seven-year-old Peggy is outgoing, energetic, confident, and a total boss babe. Despite being blind, she has no problem with taking charge and making her opinions known! Peggy navigates her foster home with ease and enjoys spending time with people, other dogs, and cats. Her favorite activities include following her people around the house, playing and cuddling with other dogs, chasing balls, chewing on toys, and going for walks. When it’s time to recharge, she snoozes soundly in her crate and snores loudly. She is housetrained, can use a doggie door, and eats her meals politely. Peggy requires daily eye drops to keep her peepers feeling fresh. Her ideal forever family will provide her with plenty of companionship from people and other dogs, and create a safe environment with her visual impairment in mind. If you’re inspired by bold, fearless, loving, and loyal ladies, Peggy might be your perfect match!
