Story
Potluck brings the ultimate warmth to every gathering, proving that the best things in life are meant to be shared. This compact, short-statured boy is the canine equivalent of a comforting, home-cooked meal with your favorite friends—he is all about bringing people together in a quiet, cozy space. He sports a beautiful tan coat with a charming white patch on his chest, soft floppy ears, and an incredibly expressive face that lights up when he starts to feel safe.Stepping out on the leash, he is already showing fantastic early signs of being house-trained and walks politely by your side, even when the big world feels a bit overwhelming. He is a gentle soul who simply needs a patient person to go slow and give him the time he deserves to settle in. Once he knows he is secure, his sweet nature shines through, and he will happily step forward to offer a warm hello. Potluck has so much love to give and is actively looking for a trusted partner to help him decompress, build confidence, and blossom at his own pace. If you are ready to be the hero who turns his world around, please reach out to our team today to get connected and quickly start your fostering or adoption journey.

Story
Pasey is a sweet, playful pup who is learning how to interact with people after coming from a hoarding case of over 30 dogs.Is he nervous? Yep.Does the poor guy shake in his kennel and hide in the corner when people try to come up to him? Also yes.But when you take him to a yard, he immediately gets zoomies and hops around like a bunny. He is starting to let his best friends show him a little affection in the form of pets. If his best volunteer friend runs around the yard, he joins in on the fun. When you try to leave the play yard he comes right up to the gate to go with you. During kennel return this guy likes to get near his handlers when they try to leave. This poor guy has given us every indication that he wants to learn how to be loved, he just needs a family that will give him a chance to learn how to do that. This sweet soul is neutered, heartworm negative, and ready to go into a home today and finally get the chance to experience true love. Story
Meet sweet Finch. Finch is friendly and a little shy. Based upon her looks, we think that Finch has some Pug and Beagle in her. Finch has a sad "resting" face, but take her on a car ride and be amazed at her transformation! Finch is house trained and crate trained and is enjoying hanging out with her new four legged besties. We love watching Finch blossom as she gains confidence in knowing that she is on the way to a better, happier life. To meet Finch, fill out an application on our website at wimberleywagrescue.org. Don’t worry—there’s no obligation to adopt when you submit an application!

Story
Sweet Pea is a senior, female, Boston Terrier who weighs about 23 pounds. She turned 14 on March 17th. As her name implies, she is a such a good, sweet girl, and seems to get along with the other dogs that she has met. She is house trained and potty trained and loves to play with her toys, chew on treats, and enjoy a comfortable spot to lay. She is losing her hearing and her sight, but she adapts very well. Sweet Pea is very social and loves to be around her humans (or any humans that want to hang with her!). She is a little shadow following her people around the house and wants to be where the activity is. She is not super cuddly, but she does like to stay close by. She also likes going for car rides and visiting new places and people and eating all the treats! Sweet Pea is spayed, microchipped, HW negative, and up to date on vaccines. She does have a high grade heart murmur. We do have access to a few years of vet records for her, and are happy to answer any questions that we are able to about her. She currently takes a daily heart medication. While in foster care, she did have a biopsy of a lump which was diagnosed as an intermediate grade Soft Tissue Sarcoma. She had a very severe reaction to the sedation where her heart stopped, so she is not a candidate to have it removed or to be sedated again. She is also being monitored for any additional seizure activity - as she had a few immediately after her heart stopped and her foster observed one additional one about a week after the procedure . We will be sure to provide any updated information that we learn to interested applicants and answer all the questions that we can. She is such a sweet and special girl, and deserves the best golden years! She does need a home that knows she has some conditions that will need monitored for progression. If you are interested in potentially meeting Sweet Pea, please fill out the adoption application available at www.texassweetiesdogrescue.org . Her adoption fee $150.

Story
Mr. T (f.k.a. Taco) is an approximately 8 year old male Boston Terrier. He is a big sweet boy weighing in around 28 pounds. He is so full of love and ready to share it with everyone that he meets! He has never met a stranger! Mr. T LOVES to explore and he also loves other dogs (at least all that hes met while in foster care). He does really want to play and socialize, so he would enjoy having either a fur-parent that adventures with him, a very patient fur-sibling that will let him be a bit over excited at first, or a fur-sibling that can match his playful vibe! After the initial excitement, he winds down and wants to cuddle. Mr. T also loves walks and will wait by his leash and remind you daily that he is a good boy and should get to go on a walk! Mr. T loves toys, and they are a must in the house. He tends to be a very mouthy/toothy player and thinks hands and feet can also be toys when he gets too excited (similar to how puppies play bite hands/feet), and is actively learning that they are not. He will definitely need this training to continue in a patient furever home. His dream day consists of a walk, some playtime, food & snacks in between, and lots of snuggling. On a sunny day, you will find him happily snoozing in a sun beam. He is so sweet and sensitive and will make the perfect companion for the right home! Mr. T is Heartworm negative, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He is also house trained and crate trained. He does get allergies sometimes and he has been prescribed allergy meds at times when they flare up. While in foster care, he has had a few lumps removed. Two of them were sent off for further testing and were determined to be low grade Mast Cell Tumors. They were removed with clean margins, so hopefully there is a low chance of recurrence. A new home would need to have any new lumps that pop up over his life monitored by their vet. If you are interested in potentially meeting Mr. T - please fill out the adoption application available at www.texassweetiesdogrescue.org . His adoption fee is $150.
