Story
Meet Claire Bear, a sweet 6-year-old, 12-pound Chihuahua/Pug mix who has never met a stranger and seems to believe cuddling is a perfectly reasonable full-time occupation. Outgoing, affectionate, and happiest when she's close to her people, Claire Bear loves soaking up attention and making herself comfortable on the couch. Highlights: • House trained and wonderfully easygoing • Professional couch potato who loves relaxing with her people • Affectionate girl who loves everyone she meets Claire Bear's unique grin is one of her most charming features. She may need a little attention from a doggy orthodontist, but she certainly isn't letting that interfere with her smile game. Her expressive face and cheerful personality make her hard to forget, and she's always ready to turn an ordinary moment into something worth smiling about. When she's not busy collecting cuddles, Claire Bear is happiest stretched out on the couch or snuggled beside her people. She brings a relaxed, affectionate presence to everyday life and would love a family who enjoys quiet companionship, plenty of snuggles, and a dog who is perfectly happy to make the couch her favorite destination. Could Claire Bear's 12 pounds of cuddles, couch-potato charm, and unforgettable smile be just what your family needs? 🐾💕

☕🐾 MEET AL PUG-CHINO! 🐾☕ 2 years old • 25 lbs • Pug • Professional Good-Time Guy If happiness had four legs, a squishy face, and absolutely no intention of exercising during the heat of the day, it would look a whole lot like Al Pug-Chino! Al is 25 pounds of wiggles, smiles, snorts, and pure pug personality. He is seriously one of the nicest boys you could ever meet. He LOVES attention, loves being included, and approaches life with the typical pug philosophy: Why be serious when you can be happy? Al is the kind of guy who wakes up every morning thrilled that another day has arrived. Breakfast? AMAZING! You came home? BEST DAY EVER! You sat down on the couch? PERFECT, HE WAS JUST LOOKING FOR A LAP! You opened the refrigerator? Clearly that involves him somehow. And like any respectable pug, Al Pug-Chino has certain lifestyle requirements. 😂 First and foremost: AIR CONDITIONING. Al would like everyone to understand that pugs were not designed to be Texas ranch hands. He is not interested in herding cattle at high noon, training for a marathon, or helping you landscape the backyard in August. His preferred summer activities include potty outside, return immediately to the AC, locate the nearest soft bed, and recover dramatically from the experience. He enjoys walks—but let's keep them reasonable. A nice little stroll when it's cool outside? Wonderful! A five-mile hike in 100-degree weather? Al would like to formally decline your invitation. His idea of roughing it is when someone turns the thermostat up two degrees. Al Pug-Chino is looking for a family that appreciates the finer things in life: air conditioning, comfy beds, snacks, belly rubs, couch time, more snacks, and humans who understand that personal space is highly overrated. He has that wonderful pug attitude where every stranger is simply a friend who hasn't met him yet. He's wiggly, affectionate, ridiculously happy, and always ready to flash that huge smile. And yes, adopting a pug means accepting a few things. There may be snorting. There may be snoring. There may be intense supervision of anything you're eating. There may be a small, round gentleman following you from room to room because apparently you cannot be trusted to go to the bathroom alone. But there will also be a whole lot of laughter, love, companionship, and one very happy little face waiting for you every single day. Al Pug-Chino isn't looking for anything fancy. Just a family. A couch. A cool house. A full food bowl. And perhaps his own personal fan. ☕❤️ So forget the morning cappuccino. What you really need is an AL PUG-CHINO—extra sweet, extra frothy, slightly snorty, and guaranteed to put a smile on your face! 🐾😂

Meet Grace! Grace is a Border Terrier/Pug blend she may be 4 years old and 24 pounds, but she's convinced she's still a puppy! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Gus – Your New Best Friend!  Gus is a lovable Pug mix with a heart as sweet as they come. Through no fault of his own, he found himself owner surrendered to a shelter, but he's ready to leave that chapter behind and find the forever family he deserves. Gus can be unsure of meeting new people at first, and may be a little shy and territorial. Once he knows you, he will be your best friend for life. He will welcome you with kisses, happy jumps, lots of tail wags.  When Gus was owner surrendered, we were told that he is potty trained and does know how to use a bell to alert when needing to use the bathroom. He is also not much of a barker, gets along great with dogs, rides well in a car, and walks well on leash.  Gus is neutered, 4DX negative, microchipped, current on all vaccinations, and protected with ProHeart 12 and Bravecto.  His adoption fee is $400. To apply to adopt Gus, visit www.adoggie4you.org. Gus is currently located in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Please note that transport is not available to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 9, 2026, 11:00 am

Story
Welcome Johnny to CCPAL Rescue. Johnny is a 10-week-old Pug mix puppy. He is a beautiful tan color with a black muzzle. He has an underbite and a shortened nose. He is a bigger-sized boy pup in the liter. He should be 20 or 25 pounds full grown is our best estimate. He is a laid-back boy and was easy to take photos with. They all have curly tails and the round adorable heads. Johnny is one of two boys in the litter. He was the last puppy to come out of his kennel as he was enjoying his nap. He was very workable and stood stil and sat willingly on the table for the photo shoot. They are all affectionate and cuddly. They are very playful with their siblings. They go on a wee pad but are not fully potty trained. They are good in a crate and are getting regular attention and love at the Rescue. We don’t have the privilege of adopting out many pugs. We are excited to find the pug pups their forever homes. We would prefer pug people for these pups, as they know the breed best. They will be spayed and neutered and ready for their forever homes soon. Someone that doesn’t work all day every day is the best candidate for a puppy. These pups would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as these pups are small and very trusting of everyone. Johnny is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1869 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!
