Hopper — The Goofy, HeterochromiaEyed HeartStealer From Texas Meet Hopper, a beagle/hound mix puppy with a personality as unforgettable as his name. At just 4 months old, this Texas boy is already a master of goofiness — all floppy ears, happy hops, and joyful chaos in the best possible way. Hopper’s beautiful heterochromia eyes (one blue, one brown) make him stand out instantly, but it’s his sweet, playful spirit that wins everyone over. He’s the kind of pup who will keep you laughing with his silly antics, then curl right up beside you for cozy snuggles when he’s done entertaining the room. He loves playtime, loves people, and loves turning every moment into fun. Hopper is bright, affectionate, and ready to grow into the loyal, loving companion he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a puppy who brings joy, warmth, and endless giggles, Hopper is ready to hop straight into your heart. ##2758628##

Story
It’s my pleasure to introduce you to Angel. This sweet 1.5 year old 24 pound baby girl Beagle/Terrier mix is a true survivor. She has been through more than most Dogs ever should. She was found abandoned in a dumpster after giving birth to her puppies- scared, exhausted and left to fend for herself. Despite everything she’s still here and slowly learning that the world can be kind. Right now she’s understandably, fearful and cautious. New people, sudden movements, and unfamiliar environments can overwhelm her and she will try to run if she feels unsafe. She’ll need a patient, experienced home that understands shy dogs that may be a flight risk and will be committed to keeping her secure and giving her time to trust. But underneath that fear is a gentle, tender soul. You can see it in her soft eyes and the way she quietly observes everything around her. She wants to trust so badly. If you sit with her long enough and stroke her side softly, you can see her relax and begin to understand what Love feels like. With time, consistency, and a calm environment to support her needs she will get there. Once she begins to feel safe, you’ll start to see glimpses of her true personality: quiet, affection, curiosity, and a deep capacity to bond. What this little Angel needs: A quiet, low-traffic homeA securely fenced yard (this is a must)An adopter experienced with fearful or undersocialized dogsSomeone patient and committed to going at her paceShe may do best with another calm, confident dog who can help show her the ropes, but thoughtful introductions will be important. This is the kind of dog where every small step forward will be a huge victory. If you have the heart and patience to help her feel safe in this world she will undoubtably build an unbreakable bond with you. Quietly changing your life in return. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Meet Libby, a four year old beagle/dachshund mix with the most soulful brown eyes and adorably plump little body you’ve ever seen. At 55 pounds, this sweet girl was clearly very loved by her former family before they made the difficult decision to surrender her when they could no longer care for her. Libby is now on a healthy weight-loss journey, and she’s already proving she’ll do just about anything for a treat (which, honestly, is no surprise to anyone who meets her). Libby is the definition of a velcro dog. She loves cuddling, following her people from room to room, and simply being part of whatever you’re doing. More interested in affection than toys or playtime, she’s happiest curled up beside you soaking up attention. When she gets excited, she does the cutest little hops and full body wiggles that are guaranteed to make you smile. She’s crate trained, house trained, knows basic commands, and while she sometimes tries to be the boss on walks, she redirects easily. Libby can be timid around loud noises, but she’s gaining confidence more and more each day. She’s incredibly friendly with everyone she meets and has been wonderful with kids. Libby has been fine towards the fosters bunny, calmly acknowledging him and going about her day. While she hasn’t been tested with cats, her gentle nature is very promising. She would do best with a mellow canine companion, as high-energy dogs that don’t respect her space aren’t really her style. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, professional cuddle buddy, and sweet best friend to share your couch and snacks (well…maybe healthy snacks) with, Libby may just be your perfect match. Her adoption fee is $450 and Libby is vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed. If you think you might be her person, please apply at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. Questions? Story
Our best guess is that Samara is a Beagle and Lab mix — or better yet, a mix between cute and adorable! At around 6 months old and 30 lbs, she has a wonderfully sweet, easy going personality. She does great in the play yard with a group of dogs of all sizes, and enjoys playing with toys, but then happily just plops down to chill. She is very good natured and a total lovebug. She is also wonderful with kids, and has a gentle approach that makes everyone she meets fall in love with her. Samara is ready to find a family to call her own.. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30. If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application directly to our website at www.ny-petrescue.org. Only applications submitted directly to Petrescue will be considered.
