Meet Mighty Mouse!Mighty Mouse is another pup that's going to need a very special someone that understands how particular, bossy, and sassy chihuahuas can be. Mighty Mouse is about two years old, absolutely gorgeous (as you can see) and also very, very deaf. VERY deaf. This means he can't really hear himself bark so he tends to bark loudly and incessantly when he gets riled up so shared walls/apartment complexes may not be the best environment for this shouty little man. He's a little under 14lbs but what he lacks in size he makes up for with an attitude the size of Texas. He takes a bit to warm up to people but once he does, he definitely plays favorites. He does well with other dogs but not with cats. He's sweet with people (once he likes you) and loves going for walks. He also loves his treats/snacks and likes to bury them and then forget they exist. With the right amount of sweet talking, Mighty Mouse will be your best friend...but you need to be willing to GO SLOW with him. He isn't the kind of dog that you can just swoop down and scoop up right away because he can and will throw hands while screaming vulgarities (probably). If you've had a difficult dog in the past and are used to the attitude and the judgmental side eye, Mighty Mouse might be the guy for you. We're looking for an adult only home (older teenagers should be fine as well) that has the patience and the drive to put in the effort with him...because he is incredible once you melt that icy Fight Club exterior.

Meet Rosebud!Very demure. Very mindful.Rosebud is a two year old chihuahua and she's a pocket sized princess at 12.5lbs. Speaking of pockets, she looks more like a baby kangaroo than an actual dog but "kangaroo" isn't a breed option in our system apparently.Right now, Rosebud is looking for an adult only, calm and quiet home that has a lot of patience while she figures out that the world isn't nearly as terrifying as she thinks it is. She doesn't have a lot of confidence but the good thing is that she isn't completely shutdown; she's definitely curious and will venture out to sniff strangers or be a little nosy if she thinks someone is having too much fun without her. The quickest way to Rosebud's heart at the moment? Just sitting quietly with her and letting her do her own thing. She'll sit with you like a tiny blonde shadow. Eventually, she gets brave enough for pets but you gotta go slow. There's no rushing it with this one. You also can't baby her; you can't coddle her or carry her everywhere or she'll learn to take advantage of it. Calm, quiet, firm patience will be the key to success with this girl. Rosebud does perk up around other dogs so a canine companion to share her life with may do wonders for her confidence. She's all tail wags and excited perked up ears and some of her sweetheart personality starts to come out. She would also probably be fine with cats as long as they don't terrorize her. Meet Jasper!Are you in the market for a handsome beagle pup with the personality of sunshine incarnate? You are now.Jasper is seven months old and weighs just over 30lbs. He is OBSESSED with people. If you've got a lap, he wants to be in it. He has no issues just bouncing over and plopping into your lap like he's been there all along. Once he gets comfy in your lap, you're not allowed to move. It's illegal. Sorry, we don't make the rules.Jasper is all things puppy and all things beagle. He's got the BIG beagle bark and can and will shout at other dogs in his excitement. He LOVES other dogs and gets super excited when he meets them but, again, ends every meet by howling in their ear which, shockingly, most dogs don't actually appreciate. He's shown no red flags with cats and seems more interested in their food than them. While he loves people and will never say no to a good lap to snuggle up in, he also definitely enjoys his play time. He's a puppy and has seemingly endless energy to burn and chasing a ball or wrestling with a plush toy forever and ever and ever is a good way to do that. He also loves his walks and is pretty good on a leash for a young guy. There's definitely some twisting and zooming but...again, he's a puppy.As far as cues go, he knows "sit" and "down". Selectively. Sometimes. When he feels like it.We're looking for a home with kids 12+ that can tolerate being bounced all over, potentially knocked down, and parkoured off of.
