Story
Meet Mighty Mouse!Mighty Mouse is another pup that's going to need a very special someone that understands how particular, bossy, and sassy chihuahuas can be. Mighty Mouse is about two years old, absolutely gorgeous (as you can see) and also very, very deaf. VERY deaf. This means he can't really hear himself bark so he tends to bark loudly and incessantly when he gets riled up so shared walls/apartment complexes may not be the best environment for this shouty little man. He's a little under 14lbs but what he lacks in size he makes up for with an attitude the size of Texas. He takes a bit to warm up to people but once he does, he definitely plays favorites. He does well with other dogs but not with cats. He's sweet with people (once he likes you) and loves going for walks. He also loves his treats/snacks and likes to bury them and then forget they exist. With the right amount of sweet talking, Mighty Mouse will be your best friend...but you need to be willing to GO SLOW with him. He isn't the kind of dog that you can just swoop down and scoop up right away because he can and will throw hands while screaming vulgarities (probably). If you've had a difficult dog in the past and are used to the attitude and the judgmental side eye, Mighty Mouse might be the guy for you. We're looking for an adult only home (older teenagers should be fine as well) that has the patience and the drive to put in the effort with him...because he is incredible once you melt that icy Fight Club exterior.

Story
Meet Mickey & Missy!A tiny terrier duo looking for their forever home together! Mickey and Missy are both seven year old terrier/chihuahua mixes. Mickey, the silver fox, is about 11.5lbs while Missy, the beautiful blonde, is about 8.5lbs.If you're looking for two little sprigs of sentient dandelion fluff to bop and frolic around your house, these two are IT for you. Both are nervous nellies at first which is understandable because this is a brand new environment and there is A LOT going on here. If you were only 9lbs and random hairless giants kept picking you up, you'd probably be terrified of life too. Once they have time to settle (which, honestly, takes barely any time at all), they are all about being in your lap and wanting attention. Mickey is SLIGHTLY more outgoing than Missy...but not by much.Neither of them have much interest in toys at the moment, though that could always change once they're settled in their new home. Right now, they prefer just paling around with each other and with people. They're both pretty good on a leash, mainly because they're small and can't take you for a ride if they see something interesting. They're mild-mannered, low-energy, scruffy gremlins but are still definitely capable of the occasional zoom. would do best in a quiet home without a ton of comings and goings. Other dogs are fine (though Mickey can be sassy in the sense that if another dog gives him attitude, he'll give it right back) and cats are fine as well. Older kids (12+) would be best. Story
Meet Rosebud!Very demure. Very mindful.Rosebud is a two year old chihuahua and she's a pocket sized princess at 12.5lbs. Speaking of pockets, she looks more like a baby kangaroo than an actual dog but "kangaroo" isn't a breed option in our system apparently.Right now, Rosebud is looking for an adult only, calm and quiet home that has a lot of patience while she figures out that the world isn't nearly as terrifying as she thinks it is. She doesn't have a lot of confidence but the good thing is that she isn't completely shutdown; she's definitely curious and will venture out to sniff strangers or be a little nosy if she thinks someone is having too much fun without her. The quickest way to Rosebud's heart at the moment? Just sitting quietly with her and letting her do her own thing. She'll sit with you like a tiny blonde shadow. Eventually, she gets brave enough for pets but you gotta go slow. There's no rushing it with this one. You also can't baby her; you can't coddle her or carry her everywhere or she'll learn to take advantage of it. Calm, quiet, firm patience will be the key to success with this girl. Rosebud does perk up around other dogs so a canine companion to share her life with may do wonders for her confidence. She's all tail wags and excited perked up ears and some of her sweetheart personality starts to come out. She would also probably be fine with cats as long as they don't terrorize her. If you're looking for a tiny sweetheart with a personality that will bloom before your very eyes, Rosebud might be your match. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Story
Pixie & Tobias are a bonded pair of 5 year old 5 lb Chihuahua mixes. They are not beginner dogs and they are not looking for a typical pet home. These two are deeply bonded and must stay together. They are not comfortable with men and cannot live with children. A calm adult female only home is required. They are a known flight risk and will only be placed in a home with a secure, physically fenced yard. No exceptions. Doors, gates, and leashes must be handled carefully at all times. They are also a bite risk. They will bite if pushed past their comfort level or handled incorrectly. They need an experienced, confident adopter who understands small dog behavior, respects boundaries, and is committed to management over fixing. This placement is about safety and stability, not turning them into lap dogs. Please only apply if your application clearly states that you meet all of these criteria. If you are looking for easy, social, or kid friendly dogs, these are not them.January 20, 2026, 8:33 pm

Story
Meet Anna!In the wise words of Agnes from Despicable Me, "It's so fluffy, I'm going to DIE!"Anna is exactly 2 years and 7 months old and weighs exactly 12.3lbs. 90% of that is fluff. She is made of cotton candy, teddy bear stuffing, and clouds. Anna has lived a sheltered life. She is very much not housebroken. She has no idea how to walk on a leash. We've thankfully progressed past the "alligator death roll and then stubborn pancake" stage but now we're in the "I'm going to velcro myself to you and get under your feet constantly" stage. Progress is progress so we'll take it.She's a sweet little cream puff but can be shy at first because everything is new and overwhelming but it doesn't take her long at all to warm up to new people. Once she does warm up, she's a lap snuggler. She's clingier than your ex. She'll go off on her own to investigate for, like, two minutes and then she's right back to having to be touching you at all times. She doesn't know any cues/commands or, at least, doesn't feel like showing off for us. She's intrigued by squeaky toys but doesn't really know what to do with them. Anna does very well with other dogs and it's the only time we've seen her actually act like a dog. She also does well with cats despite probably having no idea what they are. We would prefer kids 12+ just because she's such a nervous girl at first and is still learning about the world and we don't want to overwhelm her with the chaos some kids can bring. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.
