In need of a new home, unfortunately I have a very busy schedule. I have a new job and cannot give him the care that he needs looking for a loving family for him breaks my heart to part away from him always wanted a pug when I was younger and finally got one, but I do not have all the time that this loving guy needs. He is a very good puppy loves to play and loves to take naps. Great with kids and other animals.

Story
Dolce and Bear came to us from a Texas shelter after years of neglect that finally caught up with them. Their former owner was repeatedly required by the shelter to groom Bear. He was left outside all day, became severely matted, and was significantly overweight. Dolce, meanwhile, was known for constantly escaping the yard. Not because she was “bad,” but because she was anxious and trying to cope. When they were surrendered, they arrived with fleas and signs of flea dermatitis. Bear was immediately groomed, started on salmon-based food, and his skin has already improved noticeably. His weight is coming down, and he looks like a completely different dog than when he arrived. What hasn’t changed is their bond.  Dolce becomes extremely anxious if she is separated from Bear. He is her anchor. He is her safety. These two have clearly relied on each other to survive an environment that did not meet their needs. They are not puppies. They are not blank slates. They are adults who deserve stability, consistency, and a home that understands that love is not optional care. It is the bare minimum. We will only consider them together. That is non-negotiable. Dolce and Bear are safe now. They are healing. And for the first time, they are being properly cared for. If you are looking for a bonded pair and understand what it means to commit to two dogs who have already been through enough, this pair might be for you.    This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.   ##2636816##

Story
Meet Turbo!Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs...part two ðŸ\x8D\x9DTurbo is a five year old English bulldog mix and, right now, he weighs about 32lbs. He did come to us very, very underweight so he'll definitely need to pack on some weight and should definitely be closer to 40-45lbs, minimum. Turbo is SUPER friendly. Like, love at first sight, all up in your business, no personal space, no boundaries, hopping all over you kinda friendly. He's got no issues with strangers; strangers are only potential BFFs that he hasn't made fall in love with him yet. He loves a good rope toy but doesn't actually know how to play tug with it so he'll just walk around with it like it's his emotional support blanket. He also loooooves tennis balls and can entertain himself for hours with one.He would do fine with cats AS LONG AS the cats are dog-friendly. He was hissed at, spit at, swatted at, probably cursed at, and he just...blinked. Like, had zero idea what was going on. Did not know that the cats were cursing his bloodline. There is always the potential that he may want to chase a cat due to his propensity for wanting to chase toys, so a slow introduction will be key. We haven't tested him with other dogs just yet but he hasn't shown any red flags so far and we will be doing so later this week. Kids 12+ because he came to us as a stray so we have no sort of background or history on him.As far as cues...he knows "sit". Sometimes. He also doesn't know how to walk on a leash and just turns into a pancake but...we're working on it. We'll get there. He's also not super photogenic. Every photo of him has some sort of motion blur. Like Bigfoot. Brachy breed experience preferred. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.
