Story
Reuben is a loving, silly, and adorable little dog. His underbite and head tilt are devastatingly cute. He shakes his whole body when greeting new people and trots along when enjoying his walks. He has a bladder of steel and has never been destructive in our home. He is non-reactive to other dogs on walks and infrequently barks. We are rehoming Reuben because we have a young child with whom Reuben cannot live safely. Moreover, Reuben is clearly not as happy with us as he once was and deserves a loving home. Reuben is blind and has separation anxiety and epilepsy. He has bitten three people (in every case the biting was to do with his blindness and he growled before biting). His behavioral problems have improved significantly since we've had him and his medical problems are well-managed. We are confident he would make someone an excellent companion. If you are interested in learning more, reach out! We hope to be as transparent as possible to ensure that his next home is his last.

Story
Due to the owner's illness, Miss Fig was returned to us as her family could no longer care for her. Miss Fig embodies everything you would expect from her breed—she is comical and full of personality. She thrives in a home with another small dog but can also be your one and only companion. Her compatibility with cats is unknown. Fig is both housetrained and crate trained. She adores car rides and eagerly waits by the door to accompany you on errands. Playful and energetic, she can enjoy a cozy evening watching TV or engage in a lively game of tug. Veterinary care can be costly, and French Bulldogs often require more medical attention than many other breeds. Fig has a luxating patella, which does not affect her mobility, but you will need to keep an eye on her zoomies. Last year, her ears were treated twice for yeast and bacteria infections. After switching her diet to Venture Rabbit and Pumpkin dry formula, her ear issues have significantly decreased. She also had a histoma in her ear that was treated, resulting in one ear flopping when it healed, which we believe adds to her charm. Additionally, she requires daily tail cleaning using Malaket (dispensed from her veterinarian) wipes for her tail and pocket. If this level of care seems overwhelming, it may be best to reconsider adopting a Frenchie, as this is minimal compared to the needs of other French Bulldogs. Submit your app at www.almosthomeri.org

Story
Benny is a fun, energetic, and affectionate dog who absolutely loves to play and gets along well with other dogs. He has a big heart and shows endless love and loyalty to everyone around him.I rescued Benny from a kill shelter in Alabama in 2022, and he’s been a wonderful companion ever since. He’s now 4 years old and full of life. Unfortunately, I have to move outside of the country. I’m looking to find him a new home where he’ll continue to receive the love, attention, and care he deserves.Benny would thrive with someone who enjoys being active and wants a loving, playful dog by their side.FYI, Benny does have pet insurance, which is about $20 a month, and he is completely up to date on all of his vaccinations.
