You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: 5 - 7 years (as of 03/31/26) Weight: 14.4 lbs (as of 03/31/26) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Pinky Grace, a delightful adult pup looking for a forever home. She is a recent mom and her pups have been adopted, and now it’s Pinky’s turn. We are thinking this sweet girl is a Boston Terrier mix. Known for her sweet and gentle nature, Pinky Grace embodies the spirit of friendship and playfulness. She's not only smart but also incredibly nurturing, making her an ideal family pet or a loyal companion for anyone seeking a loving friend. She is house trained and crate trained but could use some work on her leash skills and would like to join you for a walk for hike so she can get more practice. She is a smart girl and basic group training classes is recommended to help her learn commands, socialize with other humans and dogs, as well as build that fur-ever bond with you! Her ability to connect with people and her endearing personality make her stand out. Pinky Grace deserves a forever home where she can share her limitless love and brighten your days with her joyful antics. Medical Note:  This dog is being treated/has been treated for heartworm disease.  Untreated heartworm disease can cause lasting damage to the heart, lungs and arteries, and can affect the dog’s health and quality of life even after the parasites are gone, possibly presenting as medical complications and/or new conditions in the future.  Whenever possible, SOSARL advocates for following the American Heartworm Society guidelines for heartworm disease treatment as the safest and most effective methods; the active portion of this treatment protocol can take up to four months to complete.  Once treatment is completed and the dog tests negative for microfilaria, the dog will be cleared to resume normal activity and will be ready to travel north and be placed into an adoptive home.  This dog showed no symptoms of heartworm disease before or during treatment, and is expected to complete treatment with no complications.  Please ask your Adoption Counselor for the specific treatment protocol used for and current status of this dog.  Please check with your vet if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history.   An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 8, 2026, 6:58 pm

Story
I met Luna 2 and a half years ago. A couple I knew had her. The couple were in need of a place for them and their dog to go for a short period of time. I ended up asking them to leave due to normal couple issues but I kept the dogs for them till they found a place where they could have them. Long story short another friend took the male dog as it was to much for me to have both. Almost 2 years later and I still have Luna. I love this dog so much but I don't have the time or funds to give her what she deserves. All she wants is love and attention. She wears diapers as she drops urine regularly and if she barks more sprays out. Luna loves stuffed animals to suckle on at night and she loves food. She does get fearful and cowers if she has an accident in her and thinks she's in trouble, I do feel she was abused at one point. Luna just needs the vet care and unconditional love every animal deserves. She is loyal and loving and anyone who adopts her will be lucky to have a dog like her.

Story
You know who has been a VERY good girl?Tillie. Tillie has been the BEST girl. The progress that Tillie has made in the 40 days that she's been with us has been UNREAL. It's been nothing but up with her and she just continues to improve by leaps and bounds. She has responded SO well to training and we're all so, so proud of her for coming so far! She's listening to corrections, learning to trust new people, and running through her cues like a champ!Don't get us wrong, she's still a tough cookie. She'll still test your patience on occasion, she'll out-stubborn you by a mile, and she still finds it offensive that other animals exist. She still wants to be your one and only and how DARE YOU suggest that she share space with other non-human living things? Rude. Tillie is a supersized French bulldog mix at a little over 50lbs and, yeah, she could stand to lose a few pounds but the quickest way to get her to like you is through snacks...and the most ridiculous Mickey Mouse-esque baby voice that you can manage. She's also a BIG fan of toys and goes HARD with them. She LOVES her walks and actually does really well on a leash once she gets her zoomies out. And once this girl loves you? Soulmate status.Tillie may be a project - it'll take more than one meet for her to be comfortable with you and she'll need to be enrolled in training ASAP to keep her upward momentum going. Must be the only animal in the home, no kids, breed experience highly preferred. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com.

Story
Meet Guillermo! It's raining Frenchies over here lately. It's like having an army of snorty gremlins.Guillermo is a young guy, only about two years old, and hasn't quite grown out of some of his puppy behavior. He's hyper and goofy and a litttttle bit of a bull in a china shop...but, like, a small bull. A 30lb bull. The chaos is mostly contained....Mostly.Guillermo is a social guy that loves being with people and won't hesitate to throw himself at your legs. He has no interest in toys at the moment - his focus is solely on people and soaking up all of the love and attention he can get. He's the epitome of a goofy goober and is always doing something ridiculous like sprawling out on the floor looking like a Thanksgiving turkey or trying to fit your entire hand into his mouth. He IS mouthy but it isn't aggression - he just thinks hands are better toys than ACTUAL toys and wants to chew on your fingers when he gets excited. He's pretty good on a leash but he's a stubborn bulldog and can be a little pully when there's something he wants to investigate. He also does well with other dogs but can occasionally come on REALLY strong with the play bows and the play slaps. He has no idea what a cat is and has, so far, just blankly stared - dog-savvy, dog-friendly cats would probably be fine. We're asking that any kids in the home be 12+ just because of the mouthy behavior.Brachy breed experience highly preferred because...well, everything. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com.

Story
Meet Celia! That's Celia with one "i".Celia came to us with a pretty severe injury to her eye. We can't be completely positive how she was injured, but we have our suspicions. Needless to say, the eye HAD to be removed, so our friends over at Anchor Animal Hospital helped us out with that 💜Through it all, Celia has been the brightest, sweetest ray of sunshine in the world. She's been patient (if not a little dramatic) and has been an absolute GEM for everything from handling to treating her eye to socializing with people. Nothing has been able to get this girl down!Celia is about two years old and she is ZOOMIE. Similar to Giuseppe, she does NOT know when to calm down. Can't breathe? Oh well! It's not like oxygen is important or anything. She hasn't shown any interest in toys and much prefers bouncing all over people and getting attention. She's about 23lbs so more "chaos gremlin" than "wrecking ball". She does like her walks but, again, needs to be reminded FREQUENTLY that she can't breathe and needs to take it easy. She does well with other dogs but will ricochet off of them like a pingpong ball if given the chance trying to get them to play with her. She's wary of cats but should do well with dog-friendly cats. Kids 12+.Breed experience REQUIRED. You PERSONALLY must have owned a brachy breed, not your uncle's cousin's stepson's girlfriend's mom.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com.
