Story
Dottie Jean was adopted by my late mother who only had her for 2 mos prior to a Cancer diagnosis that ultimately took Mom away. Dottie has been with us since then. We believe her to be a puggle mix, approximately 8 years old in Dec. She is spayed and has delivered a litter of puppies. While under our care, Dottie received training which was obvious she had never had, and had grown into her manners. Ultimately, it's not the best fit for our family. Dottie would do best as an only dog as she's shown aggression towards other dogs. She can be extremely sweet when she's the only dog present. She's is food motivated, loves a belly rub and will be your stocky lap dog. Dottie is a bit frisky in the morning and after eating will happily snooze for most of the day. She is potty and crate trained and does well on a leash.

Story
Meet Mother!Mother is a 2-year-old, 10 lb pug mix with a playful and loving spirit. This little girl adores her toys, especially the small plushies and she’ll happily chase after shoelaces or “borrow” any clothing she finds lying around. If a sock goes missing, you might want to check her bed! She gets along well with other dogs and has been like a pesky but lovable little sister to her foster’s senior pup. Cats aren’t really her thing, so she’d do best in a home without them or with careful separation.Mother has only been around older kids (7+), and while she does fine, she can be timid at first. A gentle voice and patience help her feel safe and comfortable. She doesn’t like being left alone for long and may howl, but she makes up for it with endless sweetness and affection.Bath time isn’t her favorite, but cuddles, playtime, and love are what she lives for. Mother is truly a little shadow who just wants to be with her people. Whoever adopts her will gain a devoted, fun, and affectionate companion. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Pippa! She is in need of a foster or foster-to-adopt Pippa is a sweet 20 pound Chihuahua mix who has finished raising her puppies and is now ready to find her forever home. All of her puppies have found homes and now it’s her turn! Pippa is about 2–3 years old, mostly potty trained, and full of personality. Because of her spunky nature, she’d do best in a home with children 13 and up! She has been spayed and is current with all her vaccines. Pippa would do fine as the only pup in the home. An apartment would not be an appropriate home for her as needs space to expend her energy. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Bob!Bob is 1year old, neutered, and fully vetted Chihuahua mix. Bob is a lover at heart and the BEST snuggle-bug! He craves human connection and affection, although initially he is scared of people and needs time to trust and feel safe. Once he learns that he is safe, he wants to be your shadow! Nights will never be lonely again with Bob by your side! He’s dog friendly, but LOVES his human more. Bob is house trained with frequent visits outside and crate trained, but he’d rather stay with you.At a teeny 8lbs, Bob would make a great addition to an adults only household willing to let him decompress for a few days, as he gets to know you and your routine. As a timid Chihuahua, he’ll need a day or two to adjust and someone who is patient enough to allow Bob to come to them. After that he’s the best little companion. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
