Story
Dottie Jean was adopted by my late mother who only had her for 2 mos prior to a Cancer diagnosis that ultimately took Mom away. Dottie has been with us since then. We believe her to be a puggle mix, approximately 8 years old in Dec. She is spayed and has delivered a litter of puppies. While under our care, Dottie received training which was obvious she had never had, and had grown into her manners. Ultimately, it's not the best fit for our family. Dottie would do best as an only dog as she's shown aggression towards other dogs. She can be extremely sweet when she's the only dog present. She's is food motivated, loves a belly rub and will be your stocky lap dog. Dottie is a bit frisky in the morning and after eating will happily snooze for most of the day. She is potty and crate trained and does well on a leash.

Story
Tay Tay is one of the pups from our Swifties group. She is a 1.5 year old, 8 lb Chihuahua mix. She is so tiny, you want to just hold her and protect her all the time! She and nine other small dogs were dumped on a country road in East Texas, and Humane Tomorrow took them all into our adoption program. Our wonderful, dedicated volunteers who have been caring for these dogs all say they have fun and friendly dispositions. Tay Tay is now in a foster home and was a little shy at first, but she warmed up quickly. She loves to curl up on a comfy blanket inside her open crate. She has now been fully vetted and ready for adoption. If you would like to give Tay Tay a forever home that really does last forever, please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
Meet Shadow, we think he is a Chihuahua/Kelpie mix. No guarantees though! Shadow is about a year old and weighs in at 18 lbs. Just the right size for your lap (at least that’s what he thinks). Shadow loves to play with toys (especially the squeaky ones), he also loves to run in the yard and he is pretty fast! As a crate-trained pup, Shadow does the indoor/outdoor thing to a T. Outside he will play chase and retrieve with any squeaky toy (the smaller ones that can be thrown farther are his favorites!), and inside he is comfortable on his person’s lap, watching TV or reading a book (you, not him). He is a little cautious and wary when meeting new people (especially men) or new dogs, but once he knows your intentions are good, he warms up. He is respectful of the older, smaller dogs when they choose not to play, but he loves to play chase and wrestle with his special playmate in his foster home. Once he trusts you he forms deep connections with humans, craving affection and companionship. We think he would be good with older kids, again, once he gets to know them – but he’s a little too rambunctious and bouncy for toddlers. He is very bright and wants to please so is wide open to training. He needs someone to be patient with him as he adjusts to new people and places. If you are interested in Shadow, please complete an application and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Scandal is a 1.5 year old, 15 lb Dachshund/Chihuahua mix. He has a beautiful chocolate coat. Please excuse his teeth; he arrived at HT with several broken ones. He and nine other small dogs were dumped on a country road in East Texas, and Humane Tomorrow took them all into our adoption program. Because we don't know anything about his history, his breed mix is just our best guess. Our wonderful, dedicated volunteers who have been caring for these dogs all say they have fun and friendly dispositions. Scandal has now been fully vetted and ready for adoption. If you would like to give Scandal a forever home that really does last forever, please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.
