Story
Dottie Jean was adopted by my late mother who only had her for 2 mos prior to a Cancer diagnosis that ultimately took Mom away. Dottie has been with us since then. We believe her to be a puggle mix, approximately 8 years old in Dec. She is spayed and has delivered a litter of puppies. While under our care, Dottie received training which was obvious she had never had, and had grown into her manners. Ultimately, it's not the best fit for our family. Dottie would do best as an only dog as she's shown aggression towards other dogs. She can be extremely sweet when she's the only dog present. She's is food motivated, loves a belly rub and will be your stocky lap dog. Dottie is a bit frisky in the morning and after eating will happily snooze for most of the day. She is potty and crate trained and does well on a leash.

Story
Meet Pugsley Hey There, I'm Pugsley. I'm just a guy looking for that special love connection.  Are you my perfect match? At 4 years old, I am a fawn-colored, 24-pound French Bulldog/Chihuahua mix. My foster says I am an excellent companion dog. I am crate-trained and housetrained. I walk well on a leash, but I forget my manners if I see another dog on the walk and lunge when I see one. When I arrived at the rescue, I had some injuries possibly caused by rough encounters with other dogs or wildlife. Because of this, I can sometimes be aggressive when I see other dogs. Although I have had some tough times, I can be a great companion dog. My foster says, "He is always by my side when I'm home. He sleeps on the bed with me without trouble at all." I'm ready to live my best life. It would be best if there were no children under 10 in the home, and I would be best as an only dog. Walking with me can be challenging if we encounter another dog, so a house with a backyard is ideal. I would not be a good fit for a first-time dog owner. Still, I could thrive with an experienced handler who can help me develop my behavior, manners, and reactions with other dogs as I learn to feel safe and secure. When you get to know me, and I warm up to you, I can be a wonderful dog. I would love to show you that. If you are that special person, willing to give me a chance at my forever home, I can return that with loyalty and love. Let's meet and see if we can make the best team and live our best lives together. Story
Hi, I'm Piper Jones! People tell me that my fur is a beautiful blue color. It's funny, my foster family thinks that my coat should be red because I'm a little spicy! I'm a 3 year old chihuahua/terrier mix and I originally lived in a home with 50 other dogs, so I didn't get much attention. I like attention from people and I bond strongly with those who love on me. I especially like ladies and it takes me a little longer to warm up to men. I would prefer a home without young children. I get along well with cats, and dogs that are my size or larger. I have lots of energy and love to run around the yard.  Learn more about our adoption process below and fill out an adoption application to take the first step in giving Piper Jones the home she deserves! Story
If I say so myself, I, Mystic, am a beautiful 3 year old chihuahua mix. I like people, am friendly with other dogs and cats too (although if they run, I do like to chase them. Since most kitties are almost as big as me, I'm not sure what I would do if I caught up to one!) I have been enjoying my play dates at Velvet Snout with other dogs, and it helps me to burn off some energy. I really would like a yard where I can run around and chase the squirrels.  My foster family says I have nice house manners! I started out in life in a hoarding situation with about 50 other dogs, so there wasn't much chance for me to get individual attention. I love it now! Come meet me at a Meet the Pets event or complete an adoption application!! Learn more about our adoption process below and fill out an adoption application to take the first step in giving Mystic the home she deserves!
