Meet Selma! Selma is a 2 year old possible Chug (Chihuahua/Pug) mix who wants every drop of your love. She is curious, playful, silly, and a great walking buddy. She loves to chase balls and can somehow fit a regular size tennis ball in her mouth. She is potty trained and goes in a crate when needed but prefers to snuggle with you at night.She came to us with 20 other dogs who were living on an abandoned property in horrible conditions with little to no human interaction. Since her rescue, Selma has only wanted one thing, a human. She follows her foster momma everywhere (literally) she has even fallen in the tub a few times with foster mom trying to be a part of everything she does.Her distinctive eye does not slow her down and is currently being treated by a specialist. She loves and plays with all dogs big and small but can be a little protective with bigger dogs so a home with medium to small dogs is preferred. Meet Solomon! Solomon is a brindle Chi mix that came to Saving Hope from a horrible breeder dumping environment where he was never touched or felt love. He huddled in the back of his crate for days, only coming out when he was alone. It was weeks before he let his foster mom pet him and even longer for others. After a few months under the care of Saving Hope, Solomon is a different boy and ready for his own family. He still has some fears and may bark at new people until he trusts, so he will need an adopter that understands his fears and will work to gain his trust. He gets along with other dogs, but has never been around cats or kids. Solomon is crate trained and potty trained, but will forget his manners on occasion. He is 2 years old so he's still in the mischievous puppy stage. He can't read, but that doesn't keep him from eating your magazine. He weighs 22 lbs which isn't too big or too small, but just right. Meet Fifi! Fifi is very sweet, she likes to play with squeaky toys, and sleep surrounded by them. She can live with other dogs but does not need them, in fact she ignores them and doesn't play. Her foster sister (a Labrador) tried to invite her to play and FIFI did not like it. Fifi is used to having 3 meals and 1 snack to regulate her temperature. This cutie is a talker, she talks when she needs to go to the restroom, when she wants attention, and when she gets excited to see her human. She is very smart, she currently has access to use a potty pad so she can go to the restroom when we are not at home. Fifi likes fruits (banana, orange, berries, tangerine) as her snacks. Fifi came to us when she was brought into the shelter as a stray. Sadly no one ever came looking for her. She is estimated to be 10 years old and She has had three surgeries. Her legs are crooked it makes stairs a little difficult for her, and she sometimes falls to the side. When she gets stuck in her bed due to arthritis, she'll give the cutest bark to come help her. Hello my name is Bitzey, I am a 10 year old Chihuahua mix who is pretty laid back and do not get excited very easily and no need to worry about me chewing on your shoes or the couch or anything else. I have a few medical issues including a narrow trachea that I am dealing with, I take my meds daily but otherwise I am a happy girl. I like small dogs, haven't been around big dogs or cats or small children. I love my foster dad and follow him around everywhere he goes, it does take me awhile to warm up to everyone else. I don't like to walk on a leash but I do being out in the yard for a bit. Currently my bed is in a large playpen where I love naps but would probably also enjoy a large crate. I am looking for a quite loving home to enjoy with patient forever parents who will love and care for me.I have some medical needs but it doesn't stop me from loving you! I have severe dental disease, cataracts, and am deaf. But I still love my soft food and being with loving humans!
