Story
Meet Blanco, a beautiful white German Shepherd whose love language is grooming. Though he is only 5, Blanco has an old soul and firmly believes he has earned the right to baths, brushing, and pedicures. He loves being groomed so much that he will hop into the bathtub on his own and wait for the pampering to begin!
Blanco seems he likes to get to know people a little before getting too cozy with them. Fair enough, Blanco! His mama must have taught him all about stranger danger. Older, respectful kids who understand that he needs some space as he adjusts to a new home environment would be just fine. Once he is familiar with a person, they are accepted into Blanco's space, especially if they bring grooming supplies!
Blanco's foster family includes various animals, such as dogs, cats, and chickens. Blanco gets along well with other dogs and now ignores the cats. He would be fine with cats who are okay with being poked by a giant nose, but might be too excited by cats who run from dogs. Blanco has caught, but not harmed, more than one chicken, so smaller critters aren't in his future.

All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care.
