Story
Meet Boo Boo, a gentle young pup with a heart as soft as her fur. At first, she’s a bit reserved—an “aloof admirer” who prefers to hang out nearby rather than be the center of attention. But give her a little time, and you’ll see her sweet side shine through: gentle sniffs, soft kisses, and a quiet presence that’s always close.
Boo Boo is happiest with a daily routine. She sleeps soundly in her crate, wakes up calm, and heads outside for her morning potty break. She enjoys her meals in her kennel, then relaxes before another trip outside. Squeaky toys are her absolute favorite—she’ll entertain herself or play gently with another dog, never destroying her toys. She’s not a big treat lover, but anything that makes noise is sure to get her tail wagging.
She’s friendly with dogs, cats, and children, and would thrive in a home with a patient canine companion to help her build confidence. Boo Boo is still learning the ropes—leash walks are a work in progress, and she’s picking up social cues from her foster sibling. She’s submissive and sometimes skittish, preferring to check things out at her own pace, but she’s made incredible progress since coming from a tough start.
Boo Boo is crate trained, rarely makes a peep, and has had no accidents in her foster home (though she does spend a lot of time outdoors). She’s not one to jump on furniture and settles easily with a treat or a Kong when needed.
If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle companion who will blossom with patience and love, Boo Boo could be the perfect fit. She’s ready to find her safe place and her people—could that be you? Apply to meet Boo Boo and see if she’s the missing piece in your family.
Notes from Boo Boo's Foster: Boo Boo is submissive and would be best with another patient dog to teach her and build her confidence. She is still learning some dog social cues and her go to is to roll over exposing her belly or try to hide. We have had no accidents but spend a significant time outdoors. She is working and rapidly learning to walk in a leash. We have not had any accidents but full disclosure we are outdoors most of the time. She is still working on leash training but doing great in short bursts starting to increase these daily.
