Hi, I’m Comet
I might be a little shy when we first meet… but give me a little time (and maybe a treat or two), and I’ll show you just how sweet and special I really am.
Once I feel safe, I become your little shadow—following you around, hanging out nearby, and happily settling at your feet while you relax. I love being close to my people, but I’m also perfectly content doing my own thing for a bit too. It’s the best of both worlds!
My favorite things? Running around the backyard, chewing on my toys, and soaking up all the affection I can get. I’m a smart guy who already knows “sit” and “down,” and I’m crate trained and potty trained—so I’m off to a great start!
I’d say I have a nice, balanced energy level. I enjoy playtime and activity, but I also really appreciate downtime and cuddles. Honestly, if you’re looking for a companion who can match your vibe—whether that’s play or chill—I’m your guy.
New things can feel a little scary at first, but I’m learning quickly that the world isn’t so bad—especially with encouragement, patience, and treats. I’m a fast learner and very adaptable, and with the right person by my side, I’ll continue to grow into a confident, happy pup.
I’m great with kids and would love a home where I can feel safe, loved, and supported as I keep building my confidence.

Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care.
