Story
I found Jeffrey back in October 2019 as a tiny kitten, only about 5 or 6 weeks old. Ever since, he’s been part of our family. Unfortunately, as much as I love him, life has become harder with two little ones—a toddler and a baby. I don’t think it’s fair to Jeffrey, as I just can’t give him the time he deserves.Jeffrey is a gentle giant. He’s very tolerant of kids and babies, and he knows his name. I trained him to sit and shake in the past, though it’s been a while with the kids taking my attention. He’s playful, sweet, and will let you hold him like a ragdoll. He’s not a fan of other male cats, but he’s fine with female cats. This is a very hard decision for me. We do travel sometimes, and with everything, I just want to ensure Jeffrey is in a home where he’ll get lots of love. I’ve listed a small adoption fee, but if I find the right person, I’m happy to waive it. I just want him to thrive in a loving home.

Story
I’m looking to rehome my two cats, Jeffrey and Eloise, together as they are a bonded pair. • Jeffrey is a 7-year-old ragdoll (not sure if fully purebred, but definitely has the traits lol). He’s my gentle giant. I found him near a trash can at 6 weeks old and he’s been with me ever since. He loves company and head pets. Not a lap cat, but once he warms up, he always wants to be around you. Very sweet and great with kids. • Eloise is a 3-year-old tabby. I adopted her from a shelter—they said she was meant to be a farm cat but was too friendly and loved people too much lol. She’s playful and balances Jeffrey out well. With a toddler and a baby, life has become overwhelming and I can’t give them the attention they deserve. This is very hard, but I want the best for them. They are very bonded, so I’m only considering homes that can take both.

Story
If you’re “shopping” for a cat please go else where. If you’re just thinking about adopting, decide 1st. She needs a real cat person that will love any cat because all cats deserve to be loved and not somebody looking for a certain esthetic. What are you truly looking for? Moma was a stray cat with a litter of four kittens running around my apartment complex during the summer of 2024. I started feeding them and realized she was pregnant again. I was able to trap her and get those kittens. She was about to get spayed at the spca for their TNR program. After she recovered from the surgery I released her but she came right back inside later that night. I wasn’t planing on keeping her but she’s so cute and just wants to sleep and cuddle. The spca people said she was about 4 years old at the time so she about 5 now. She can be skidding with new people but is very curious. She hasn’t been around small children or dogs, just other cats.

Story
Looking for a new home for our cat, Woodford. Woodford is a 6-year-old male ragdoll (born December 13) with very soft, silky fur and a playful, affectionate personality. He is litter box trained and has been a great companion in the right setting. We are looking to rehome him because our home has become busy with two dogs and a toddler. Woodford prefers a calm environment where he can be the primary focus. In our current setup, he has shown stress behaviors, including going outside the litter box. We believe this is due to the environment, not a lack of training, and expect it would improve in a quieter home where he is the only pet and gets consistent attention. Woodford would do best in a home without other animals and ideally without small children. He thrives when he can bond closely with his owner and have a stable, low-stress environment. Our priority is finding him a loving home that fits his needs.

Story
Meet Foxy! Foxy is an affectionate, playful boy with a big personality. He loves string toys, exploring unexpected spots, and isn’t even afraid of water—he may try to join you in the bath! Despite his adventurous side, Foxy is also a cuddlebug who enjoys long naps and will happily curl up with you. He thrives with regular play sessions and enjoys being brushed several times a week to keep his beautiful fluffy coat soft and reduce shedding. Foxy is very vocal about mealtime and will meow to remind you when it’s time to eat—twice a day is perfect for him. While he loves pets and attention, he has one firm boundary: no feet, please! He’ll defend himself with a strong bite if you try. With plenty of love, play, and grooming, Foxy will be a devoted and entertaining companion, bringing endless joy to your home. Foxy is being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet this cat or find out more, please fill out our application here: https://www.thedancingcat.org/adopt-courtesy For more information regarding our Courtesy Posts, see www.thedancingcat.org/courtesy-postsMarch 8, 2026, 1:51 am
