Story
Hi, I’m Maggie I’m a 7-year-old purebred Ragdoll looking for a calm, loving home where I can be your one and only feline princess (single cat household). I absolutely love pets and attention — the second you start petting me, I turn into a purring machine. I’m sweet, gentle, and happiest hanging out near my people. I’m not really a cuddly lap cat, but I do enjoy companionship and being admired from a comfy nearby spot. I would prefer to be the only cat in the home so I can soak up all the love and attention for myself. A quiet home where I can relax, be spoiled, and enjoy life at my own pace would be perfect for me. If you’re looking for a beautiful, affectionate companion with a soft coat and an even softer heart, I might just be your girl. We will be reviewing the applications to find the best match. She would be best in a house that has lots of trees and wildlife to watch.  Meet Lucy:She is the total package: gorgeous, affectionate, hilarious, and just a little bit dramatic. She is about 2 years old.  Her favorite hobby is bird watching from a safely screened window, where she takes her role as Neighborhood Wildlife Supervisor very seriously. When she’s not keeping tabs on local birds, she’s likely following her favorite humans from room to room because, in Lucy's opinion, life is simply better together. Lucy loves to brushed and pet. She is also a wonderful lap cat.  Lucy is incredibly people-oriented and loves being near her humans. Her signature move is the Welcome Home Belly Flop™. Leave the room and come back? Belly flop. Come home from work? Belly flop. Walk by and say hello? Another belly flop. It’s her adorable way of showing how happy she is to see you. She gets the occasional case of the zoomies, loves sleeping near her people, and is always happy to accept attention. Lucy does have one important request: she’d like to be your one and only cat. Other cats make her uncomfortable, and she’ll be happiest in a home without feline roommates. She may do well with a calm, respectful dog. If you’re looking for a beautiful cat with a big personality, a loving heart, and a knack for making you feel like the most important person in the world, Lucy is ready to meet you.Click here to watch a video of Lucy.July 14, 2026, 3:34 pm

Story
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA:  Hi, I’m Oscar, a friendly young Ragdoll-mix male!  I enjoy human attention and like everyone I meet.  I love to sleep on my foster mom’s bed at night.  She describes me as “a playful, floppy sort of fellow, outgoing and goofy!” My pal Sterling and I are a bonded pair, and we need to be adopted together.  We've never been around dogs or children, but we get along great with other cats. I was born in approximately February 2024, have been fixed and am up to date on my shots. Please note: Oscar has chronically runny eyes as well as cherry eye, but these conditions do not seem to bother Oscar and his veterinarian has ruled out any infection. This is a Courtesy Post, and Oscar is in a private foster home in Pleasant Hill, California.  For more information, please contact Suzanne at suzannejo16@gmail.com. Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cat’s status with the rescuer and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.March 15, 2026, 5:56 pm

Story
Gizmo (GG) is a five-year-old cat with a sweet and sensitive soul. While she was adopted without noted health concerns, I have observed that she may have a disability, such as partial blindness, which makes her fearful of sudden movements, loud noises, and new environments. Despite her anxiety, GG is incredibly gentle. Once she feels safe, she enjoys bird watching, exploring the house, and cuddling at the foot of the bed. She is even comfortable being bathed and dried, which demonstrates her deep capacity for trust. Currently, she prefers to stay in the bedroom during the day, typically only venturing out at night when the house is quiet. She is litter box trained, and I currently keep her box in my room to accommodate her comfort level. I believe GG would thrive in a quiet, low-stimulation home with a single owner or someone who works from home. She would likely do best in an environment without other pets or young children, where she can receive the patience and calm energy she needs

Not good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
My name is Bo Catan, and I’ve already lived one full story. I was found outside with a litter of five tiny kittens, doing my best to keep them safe while hiding from the world myself. I’m a naturally shy girl, and being a mom out in the open was scary. But I never gave up on them. All five of my babies were adopted into loving homes. While they found their happy endings, I stayed behind with the kind people at California Cat Rescue, slowly learning that not all humans are something to fear. They’ve been so patient with me, and because of that, I’ve blossomed into a loving, quiet companion with so much to give. I’m about 3 years old now. I still have a gentle, cautious nature, but once I trust you, I absolutely live for cuddling on the couch and letting my silly side come out. I get the zoomies, I flop over for attention, and I turn into the softest little shadow by your side. I just need a little time and patience to adjust, and then I’ll be yours completely. I’d do well as your only cat, especially if you're looking for a calm and cozy bond, but I also get along just fine with other gentle cats. Bullies are not my thing, but kind kitty friends are always welcome. I gave everything I had to raise my kittens. Now it’s my turn to be loved and cared for. I’m ready for my forever home, my soft couch, and my fairy tale ending. Maybe it starts with you.
