Story
Meet Foxy! Foxy is an affectionate, playful boy with a big personality. He loves string toys, exploring unexpected spots, and isn’t even afraid of water—he may try to join you in the bath! Despite his adventurous side, Foxy is also a cuddlebug who enjoys long naps and will happily curl up with you. He thrives with regular play sessions and enjoys being brushed several times a week to keep his beautiful fluffy coat soft and reduce shedding. Foxy is very vocal about mealtime and will meow to remind you when it’s time to eat—twice a day is perfect for him. While he loves pets and attention, he has one firm boundary: no feet, please! He’ll defend himself with a strong bite if you try. With plenty of love, play, and grooming, Foxy will be a devoted and entertaining companion, bringing endless joy to your home. Foxy is being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet this cat or find out more, please fill out our application here: https://www.thedancingcat.org/adopt-courtesy For more information regarding our Courtesy Posts, see www.thedancingcat.org/courtesy-postsSeptember 22, 2025, 8:37 pm

Story
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA:  Hi, I’m Oscar, a friendly young Ragdoll-mix male!  I enjoy human attention and like everyone I meet.  I love to sleep on my foster mom’s bed at night.  She describes me as “a playful, floppy sort of fellow, outgoing and goofy!” My pal Sterling and I are a bonded pair, and we need to be adopted together.  We've never been around dogs or children, but we get along great with other cats. I was born in approximately February 2024, have been fixed and am up to date on my shots. Please note: Oscar has chronically runny eyes as well as cherry eye, but these conditions do not seem to bother Oscar and his veterinarian has ruled out any infection. This is a Courtesy Post, and Oscar is in a private foster home in Pleasant Hill, California.  For more information, please contact Suzanne at suzannejo16@gmail.com. Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cat’s status with the rescuer and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.December 24, 2025, 10:10 pm

Story
Moma was a stray cat with a litter of four kittens running around my apartment complex during the summer of 2024. I started feeding them and realized she was pregnant. I was able to trap her and get the kittens. She was about to get spayed at the spca for their TNR program. After she recovered from the surgery I released her but she came right back inside later that night. I wasn’t planing on keeping her but she’s so cute and just wants to sleep and cuddle. The spca people said she was about 4 years old at the time so she about 5 now. She can be skidding with new people but is very curious. She hasn’t been around small children or dogs, just other cats.

These cats are in Tracy, California too!

Not good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
My name is Bo Catan, and I’ve already lived one full story. I was found outside with a litter of five tiny kittens, doing my best to keep them safe while hiding from the world myself. I’m a naturally shy girl, and being a mom out in the open was scary. But I never gave up on them. All five of my babies were adopted into loving homes. While they found their happy endings, I stayed behind with the kind people at California Cat Rescue, slowly learning that not all humans are something to fear. They’ve been so patient with me, and because of that, I’ve blossomed into a loving, quiet companion with so much to give. I’m about 3 years old now. I still have a gentle, cautious nature, but once I trust you, I absolutely live for cuddling on the couch and letting my silly side come out. I get the zoomies, I flop over for attention, and I turn into the softest little shadow by your side. I just need a little time and patience to adjust, and then I’ll be yours completely. I’d do well as your only cat, especially if you're looking for a calm and cozy bond, but I also get along just fine with other gentle cats. Bullies are not my thing, but kind kitty friends are always welcome. I gave everything I had to raise my kittens. Now it’s my turn to be loved and cared for. I’m ready for my forever home, my soft couch, and my fairy tale ending. Maybe it starts with you.

Story
Helena appears cautious at first but is actually very intelligent and easily trainable. She is playful, friendly and does well with cats, friendly dogs and children. At nap time she turns into a giant snuggle bug and is extremely food driven, but not in an aggressive way. Helena would do best in a multi cat household as she does not like to be alone. Helena's date of birth is 6/1/2025. Adoption fee is $150, which includes spay/neuter, current on vaccines, microchip, dewormed and free vet visit to be used within 5 days of adoption. Our adoption center is open Saturdays from 11 to 4 and Sundays from 12 to 4. We are located inside the West Valley Mall in Tracy, 3200 Naglee Road in suite 452. We are a foster-based rescue so not ALL available cats and kittens will attend every weekend. Please email CatAdoptions@AnimalRescueTracy.org or leave a message at 209-642-4324 for more info.

Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Ojo is a very confident rambunctious little girl. She is considered special needs because her vision is impaired, but still plays like she’s not. She loves to lick and give kisses. Ojo is very friendly, good natured and just loves people. She is the most lovable of the litter of 4. Since she is visually impaired, she is being paired up to be adopted with her brother, Treelow. Ojo is best suited for a one story house with adults only or older children. She has been introduced to another cat and small dog and did okay when she got use to their smell. Ojo enjoys playing with all sorts of toys, including shoe laces, fuzzy mice and plastic springs. Ojo's date of birth is 7/20/2024. Adoption fee is $150, which includes spay/neuter, current on vaccines, microchip, dewormed and free vet visit to be used within 5 days of adoption.
