Story
As a new kitten we found her in the front yard. A neighbor knocked on the door asking if she was ours. This neighborhood has lots of strays. We took her in, got her shots, and have been caring for her since (she’s about 6 months old). We are hoping to find her a good home as she has lots of personality.

Story
Meet Domino Domino is out of this world! This fluffy white cat with a black mask, fuzzy black tail, and a single black dot on his back was rescued from NASA Ames Research Center. While he was initially shy and seemed unfamiliar with toys and laps, Domino has blossomed into a loving and playful companion. Now a lap-seeker extraordinaire, Domino adores wand toys and will happily spend hours chasing cloth mice. His quiet purr and sweet little meow are just as endearing as his perpetually surprised expression. Domino is well-mannered—he won’t climb on counters or knock things over—and he gets along well with other cats. If you’re looking for a gentle, playful, and affectionate companion, Domino is ready to launch into your heart! Domino is being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet this cat or find out more, please fill out our application here: https://www.thedancingcat.org/adopt-courtesy For more information regarding our Courtesy Posts, see www.thedancingcat.org/courtesy-postsJanuary 23, 2025, 3:57 pm

Story
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA:  Hi, I’m Honey Girl, and I’m dreaming of finally getting my forever home. My brothers Percy and Brandy and I have grown up together and would ideally like to stay together with some kind of outdoor time. We love to be pet and will delight to your touch.  Here’s what our rescuer says about me: Honey Girl is a long-haired white and gray female beauty with one green and one blue eye.  She is possibly a Ragdoll or Maine Coon mix, and was born in approximately November 2020. Honey Girl is gentle, sweet, and loving. Watch how much she enjoys being petted and brushed! https://youtu.be/A6aaMQhKb1I and https://youtu.be/zeoDKX92QGs Honey Girl loves wet food, catnip, and cuddling and grooming with her siblings Percy and Brandy.  Watch their videos here: https://youtu.be/W9suDTGxVm8 and https://youtu.be/u2cdqrx3qeg   Honey Girl has been spayed and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.  She will be up-to-date on vaccinations before placement; her coat will look even better, too! This is a courtesy post.  For more information about fostering or adopting Honey Girl, please contact Marcia at 510-734-9924 or mslack199@gmail.com.October 26, 2024, 8:18 pm

Story
Misa is part of a bonded pair! Loki: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/43553395-elk-grove-california-cat Unfortunately, our family has new members who are significantly allergic to our cats. Misa is a hefty eight year old purebred ragdoll (seal bicolor), and she is an extremely docile cat. Misa does enjoy playing in short bursts, especially with her friend Loki, but her favorite things to do are to eat and sleep. She likes to stay nearby her people, but isn't a lap-cat. She's extremely gentle and is very good around kids. She loves to be brushed and is happy to spend time with you if you are grooming her. She is very well house-trained and rarely tries to scratch furniture. If she happens to try to stretch on some furniture she will respond to a "shh" sound or you approaching to redirect her to a scratch post. None of our furniture has significant scratch marks from Misa. We recommend bathing her on occasion and routinely brushing her to prevent knots. She is indoor-only.
