Story
Hi, I’m Maggie I’m a 7-year-old purebred Ragdoll looking for a calm, loving home where I can be your one and only feline princess (single cat household). I absolutely love pets and attention — the second you start petting me, I turn into a purring machine. I’m sweet, gentle, and happiest hanging out near my people. I’m not really a cuddly lap cat, but I do enjoy companionship and being admired from a comfy nearby spot. I would prefer to be the only cat in the home so I can soak up all the love and attention for myself. A quiet home where I can relax, be spoiled, and enjoy life at my own pace would be perfect for me. If you’re looking for a beautiful, affectionate companion with a soft coat and an even softer heart, I might just be your girl. For more information email cmgee29@yahoo.com   For further information, please email the foster, or contacthalo@yahoo.com. To see more of our cats, please visit www.eccchalo.org July 29, 2026, 9:56 pm

We will be reviewing the applications to find the best match. She would be best in a house that has lots of trees and wildlife to watch.  Meet Lucy:She is the total package: gorgeous, affectionate, hilarious, and just a little bit dramatic. She is about 2 years old.  Her favorite hobby is bird watching from a safely screened window, where she takes her role as Neighborhood Wildlife Supervisor very seriously. When she’s not keeping tabs on local birds, she’s likely following her favorite humans from room to room because, in Lucy's opinion, life is simply better together. Lucy loves to brushed and pet. She is also a wonderful lap cat.  Lucy is incredibly people-oriented and loves being near her humans. Her signature move is the Welcome Home Belly Flop™. Leave the room and come back? Belly flop. Come home from work? Belly flop. Walk by and say hello? Another belly flop. It’s her adorable way of showing how happy she is to see you. She gets the occasional case of the zoomies, loves sleeping near her people, and is always happy to accept attention. Lucy does have one important request: she’d like to be your one and only cat. Other cats make her uncomfortable, and she’ll be happiest in a home without feline roommates. She may do well with a calm, respectful dog. If you’re looking for a beautiful cat with a big personality, a loving heart, and a knack for making you feel like the most important person in the world, Lucy is ready to meet you.Click here to watch a video of Lucy.July 30, 2026, 1:56 am

Story
Gizmo (GG) is a five-year-old cat with a sweet and sensitive soul. While she was adopted without noted health concerns, I have observed that she may have a disability, such as partial blindness, which makes her fearful of sudden movements, loud noises, and new environments. Despite her anxiety, GG is incredibly gentle. Once she feels safe, she enjoys bird watching, exploring the house, and cuddling at the foot of the bed. She is even comfortable being bathed and dried, which demonstrates her deep capacity for trust. Currently, she prefers to stay in the bedroom during the day, typically only venturing out at night when the house is quiet. She is litter box trained, and I currently keep her box in my room to accommodate her comfort level. I believe GG would thrive in a quiet, low-stimulation home with a single owner or someone who works from home. She would likely do best in an environment without other pets or young children, where she can receive the patience and calm energy she needs

Story
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA:  Hi, I’m Oscar, a friendly young Ragdoll-mix male!  I enjoy human attention and like everyone I meet.  I love to sleep on my foster mom’s bed at night.  She describes me as “a playful, floppy sort of fellow, outgoing and goofy!” My pal Sterling and I are a bonded pair, and we need to be adopted together.  We've never been around dogs or children, but we get along great with other cats. I was born in approximately February 2024, have been fixed and am up to date on my shots. Please note: Oscar has chronically runny eyes as well as cherry eye, but these conditions do not seem to bother Oscar and his veterinarian has ruled out any infection. This is a Courtesy Post, and Oscar is in a private foster home in Pleasant Hill, California.  For more information, please contact Suzanne at suzannejo16@gmail.com. Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cat’s status with the rescuer and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.March 15, 2026, 5:56 pm

Story
🩵 Meet MaQiu – A Gentle Soul Ragdoll is Looking for His Forever Home 🩵 MaQiu’s journey began in China, where he was rescued and arrived in the U.S. this past May in hopes of finding the loving family he deserves. Shortly after arriving, we discovered that MaQiu has epilepsy (seizures). After working closely with our veterinarian and completing several examinations, his seizures are now well controlled with medication. He takes his medicine every 12 hours, and thankfully he’s incredibly easy to medicate. His monthly medication costs approximately $35 (Phenobarbital and Keppra), and he will need routine blood work once a year to monitor his health. Aside from his seizures, MaQiu is an absolutely wonderful cat. He has one of the sweetest, gentlest personalities we’ve ever met. He’s independent enough to entertain himself, yet he always wants to be close to his people. When you come home or wake up in the morning, he’ll often be the first one waiting to greet you, MaQiu is curious about everything around him. He loves watching birds and people through the window or screen door and can happily spend hours observing the outside world. He’s also playful and can keep himself busy with toys, especially his favorite—a large wool felt wand toy and a blue stuffed rabbit. He gets along well with other cats and respectful dogs, although he may feel intimidated by dogs that are overly energetic or rough. When he feels comfortable with you, MaQiu becomes incredibly affectionate. He loves gentle chin scratches and forehead rubs, and sometimes he’ll gently nibble your fingers or legs as his adorable way of asking you to play. He may be a little reserved with physical affection at first, but once he trusts you, he’ll actively seek your attention and happily cuddle beside you. Like many cats, MaQiu isn’t a fan of baths or being picked up. He’ll let you know with a little grumble if he’s not happy, but he has never scratched or bitten because of it. With patience and gentle handling, bathing and nail trims are surprisingly easy. One bonus? MaQiu isn’t much of a jumper, so he’s much less likely to knock things off shelves or climb onto high furniture! MaQiu’s Ideal Home ❤️ We’re looking for a family who can commit to: * Giving his medications twice a day (every 12 hours) * Annual veterinary blood work * Providing a loving, patient home where he can continue to thrive If you believe MaQiu could be the missing piece of your family, we’d love to hear from you. He has overcome so much already, and now all he needs is a forever home filled with love. ❤️ PM text to Marilyn +1 (510) 987-6310 💙 Please share to help MaQiu find the family he deserves. thanks!

Story
If you’re “shopping” for a cat please go else where. If you’re just thinking about adopting, decide 1st. She needs a real cat person that will love any cat because all cats deserve to be loved and not somebody looking for a certain esthetic. What are you truly looking for? Moma was a stray cat with a litter of four kittens running around my apartment complex during the summer of 2024. I started feeding them and realized she was pregnant again. I was able to trap her and get those kittens. She was about to get spayed at the spca for their TNR program. After she recovered from the surgery I released her but she came right back inside later that night. I wasn’t planing on keeping her but she’s so cute and just wants to sleep and cuddle. The spca people said she was about 4 years old at the time so she about 5 now. She can be skidding with new people but is very curious. She hasn’t been around small children or dogs, just other cats.

These cats are in Antioch, California too!

Story
Harvey is a beautiful mix with tabby markings and is a bonded pair with his sister, Cleo. Cleo and Harvey both are thriving healthy happy cats and are hoping to find a wonderful family to be a part of. Harvey loves to chill and bird watch. He enjoys making biscuits on his favorite little blanket. Cleo loves to hang around and is often nearby quietly enjoying her human’s presence. They play together all the time, grooming each other or snuggling with one another. Harvey is very friendly and loves to strut around, he is vocal at times but in a charming way with trills and a pleasant voice. Cleo is brave and curious, fascinated by the vacuum and hair dryer. I love them dearly and hope to find them a great new home and loving cat parent! If interested send a message explaining a little about yourself please :)

Story
Luna is a sweet and gentle young cat (only 3 years old). We love her so much! She loves to cuddle! She loves to sit in your lap and rub all over your feet and legs. But she can also be very shy. Since brining in a working dog into our home she has become very anxious. We believe she needs a home with no dogs.
