Please make sure to read the narrative below our pet's photos as you will find a description of our pet with all we know about them, our adoption fee info, and you will find the link to do our online Adoption Application which is the first step in our Adoption Process!     Please read ALL below where you will find answers about the pet, our adoption fees and how to do our adoption application!   Pet Description:  Sydney is 8 1/2 years old, male, 18 lbs.  Housetrained, good with children and dogs, found as a stray and the owner never responded.   Sadly he was also heartworm positive but completed his treatment on 4-9-24   DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).   The first step is to our Adoption Application here:  https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .   IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you.  Please make sure you have either added our email  (hselco@bellsouth.net)  to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe.   Meet siblings Sansa and Sydney, 5-month-old Rat Terrier and Dachshund mixes. Sansa is a female while Sydney is a male. They weigh 18-20 pounds now but are expected to mature to around 25 pounds. They both wear short black, tan, and white coats which are easy to maintain. Shy at first, they warm quickly, and their loyalty knows no bounds. They also both do well with other dogs.  Adopt Sansa or Sydney, (or both!) and let them fill your life with joy and companionship!
