Story
Check out this playful senior, Sammie (A567205)! Inside her kennel, you would never guess who Sammie really is. She looks like a quiet senior who prefers to keep to herself, but the moment this girl steps outside, she turns into an entirely different dog in the best possible way.Sammie lives for play. The second she hears the squeak of a toy, she lights up like someone flipped a switch. She becomes the most athletic little dog you have ever seen. She will leap several feet in the air without hesitation just to snag her favorite toy out of midair. If dogs had highlight reels, Sammie would already have a fan base. She knows how to sit and walks beautifully on a leash. She has also tested well with male dogs. Sammie does not really play with other dogs, but she is perfectly content to coexist and mind her own business. She is the definition of a dog who just needed a chance to show who she really is.Sammie is technically a senior at 8 years old, but she still has plenty of spark left in her and she is more than ready to share it with someone who appreciates her mix of sweetness, silliness and sky high leaps.Sammie is estimated to be around 8 years old and weighs 23 pounds. All animals adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, spayed/neutered and given a 30 day flea/tick preventative.Ready to meet Sammie? Stop by 4950 Triana Blvd SW in Huntsville, Alabama. No appointment is necessary to meet our available animals. All adopters must be 19 years or older and be able to provide a valid ID.
