Story
Hi there, I'm Jenny! I adore people and love it when I gain all their attention. Walks are the best; the feeling of the open road ahead makes me the happiest. But I must admit, I can be a bit picky when it comes to my fellow canines. I prefer to choose my friends carefully. Despite this, I promise to shower you with unconditional love and loyalty. Adopting me means gaining a friend who will always be there for you, love you unconditionally, and make every day a little brighter. My adoption fee is $350 and includes the following: -Spay/neuter surgery -All current vaccinations -Microchip -FREE wellness exam through VCA Animal Hospitals -$25 gift voucher from our friends at My Pet Market

Story
Lucy Lu enjoyed much love in her previous home. Maybe a bit too much was in the form of food, for this sweet 10- to 11-year-old rat terrier arrived at her New Rattitude foster home very much over her ideal weight of about 15 lbs. Lucy is too embarrassed to tell us what the scales currently say, but she's proud that she has already shed 1.6 lbs. with copious walks and playtime with her canine foster brother, as well as feedings carefully measured by her foster mom. Lucy needs her adopter to commit to helping her complete her journey to good health.   Before coming to NR, Lucy lived with one person and a cat, so she's shy around new people, barking at them and then avoiding them. If left alone, she'll approach when she's ready; people ignoring this advice will likely be growled at. Lucy still gets along with cats and has learned a lot about living with other dogs. She enjoys playing with them and with toys. You should see her fine game of tug-of-war! She occasionally gets growly and tries to lay claim to certain toys or space, but her foster mom has taught her about sharing by permitting access to these cherished resources only when her behavior is appropriate. Lucy would be fine as an only dog or as a member of a small group of easy-going canine friends.   Lucy is reliably house-trained as long as you take her out or provide access to a dog door. She's also crate trained and will sleep in her crate at night and for naps. However, she would LOVE to sleep in your bed. She's such an affectionate pup and an easy keeper, how could you possibly say no? You can see more photos of Lucy at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/lucylu . Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/  From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info. July 25, 2024, 9:08 pm

Luna is a super sweet dog she currently lives with 3 dogs and 2 cats. She can be a bit of a barker but has a good temperament overall. She’s lived with my mom since she was a puppy but my elderly mom is struggling taking care of her pets as her health has declined.

Story
Romeo is a lover boy. Just like his namesake. Super sweet with everyone. He has a special affinity for cats too. And he would love a friendly and playful dog or kitty friend. He walks well on a leash. Knows the doggy door. Is learning that he’s safe in a crate(he needs a large one so he doesn’t feel claustrophobic) Romeo is a wonderful young boy who would love a family all of his own. One that understands he is still very young and learning. He has learned a lot while in rescue and has been a great foster pup. Romeo would love to go on fun adventures with his family. Walks in the park, camping, days at the lake. He’s up for almost anything. And he’s great on the leash and in the back seat of the car. Romeo is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, tested negative for heart worms, on heart worm prevention, & microchipped.

Story
Gus is a very Handsome and Sweet boy! Extremely affectionate lap dog. Gus is a little shy at first, but once he knows you for a couple of days he is so cuddly and sweet. He almost wants to crawl into your body type of snuggles if that makes sense. He is very loyal and smart. Almost too loyal since he is jumping on his foster mom's lap at every single opportunity. He is being fostered with 2 large dogs and his brother Dale. The two little dogs play hard together and are starting to warm up to their huge foster brother GSD. He just wants to play with them so badly, so they are starting to consider it. Gus bonded to me (foster mom) immediately so if adopted into a house with a male, I would suggest the guy walk and feed him to start with, that way the bonding process goes faster. He does cuddle on my husband, but since I'm home all day and husband isn't, he is slowly starting to warm up to him more. Cuddles on both kids, but right now foster mom is the clear favorite. He likes other dogs and enjoys playing with them. Walks well and love his walks and toys in the house. Gus is a 2.5 year old rat terrier mix. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations. He weighs approximately 15 lbs. He seems to prefer other smaller dogs and enjoys playing with them. Even in our home he is more comfortable with our chow mix compared the the GSD since there is a 20 pound difference and major height difference. Gus gets along very well with his other relatives named Dale and Curly, also with Valley Dogs Rescue. If you are open to two dogs, these guys are so entertaining! Gus does well with other dogs and kids. Cats unsure, but I think he would be ok!
