Story

Casanova is a 5 year old, 13 pound Chihuahua who joined us recently from a county facility. This sweet boy was adopted recently but came back to us when he wouldn't stop playing with the cats. Casanova is residing in a foster home. His foster home tells us that Casanova is a loveable companion. He is a very quiet dog in the house, and he really likes being with people. He is an early riser but does not make any noise when he gets up. He likes to see what you are doing throughout the day and also likes to take his afternoon nap. He is also fully potty trained.Casanova seems to adjust well to new surroundings. He has no trouble navigating stairs both up and down. He also has a good appetite and is not picky with the type of dog food he is provided. He usually eats twice a day, morning and evenings, with the occasional treat throughout the day.Casanova likes to take walks and so far has done well with two walks per day. He will bark at other dogs if he sees them. He likes his toys and is playful and sweet. We have not had any issues with him destroying anything in the house. Casanova likely was allowed to be on furniture at his previous home as he will make himself at home on a couch or recliner. Casanova sheds very little to nothing at all. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home.He will be at our adoption center on Saturdays until he finds his forever home. Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).
