Story
Meet Kenji! Kenji was found as a stray by one of the Chi Town Rescue volunteers and now he's waiting for his new forever home. The volunteer has a small child at home and Kenji got along well with her son. The volunteer also found that he is house trained! Kenji is approximately seven-years-old and he's a Rat Terrier, but he's also mixed with Cattle Dog. Kenji may be 7 but he's an energetic dog that loves, loves, loves to play fetch; he brings the toy right back to you to throw it again. Kenji gets along with the small dogs at the rescue but he definitely does NOT like big dogs. Kenji will do well in an active home that will play with him and take him for walks (he's great on leash). Kenji is a bit shy at first, but super affectionate once he gets to know you. He love to hop in your lap and get back scratches! If you would like to meet Kenji and see if he would be a good fit in your home, please contact Chi Town Rescue to make an appointment to meet him. He would love to go home soon! Call us at 602-526-0842 and/or email chitownrescue@gmail.com for a meet and greet appointment.  February 18, 2024, 12:02 am

Story
Recently, my elderly mother, unexpectedly passed away leaving two loyal companions in need of a new, loving environment. Bacon, has been a cherished member of her family for many years, providing unconditional love and companionship. Given the sudden circumstances, we are seeking compassionate individuals or families who would be willing to open their hearts and homes to Bacon. She is house-trained and accustomed to the company of humans and other dogs and is a sweet lap dog. It is our utmost priority to ensure a seamless transition for these dogs and to find them a safe haven where they can continue to thrive. Your support during this challenging time is deeply appreciated. Thank you for considering the welfare of these dogs and for any assistance you can provide.

These pups are in Phoenix, Arizona too!

Story
Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogIf you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react.  Hi! My name is Bear, and I am a sweet, senior Jack Russell Terrier who is 9 years old, and I weigh 13 pounds. I have lived in confinement my whole life, and I can be shy at first, so I need a quiet home where I can live out my life enjoying all the things I have missed. A home visit is required with all members of the family. If you have been waiting for a sweet JRT, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Story
**This is a courtesy listing for Frosted Faces Vintage Paws Rescue** Jack is a fun-loving young guy with lots of energy and sass. He is an approximately six-year-old Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua (best guess!) mix. Jack will initially bark at you to warn you away. He needs someone willing to give him time to warm up. Once he knows you, he will show you his energetic and fun personality. Jack loves toys and treats and gets along with other dogs. Jack is leash-trained and would love to go on a walk with you. Jack has been in rescue with us for quite a few years and we really want to find him his perfect forever fit. He would do best in a patient home that will provide him lots of activity and love. No kids, please! Would you like to meet Jack? He would love to meet YOU! Email chitownrescue@gmail.com to set up a meet and greet. February 18, 2024, 12:02 am
